That's alot of Necrarch vampires!

Your army is turning out great! I am going to start a plog for my Necrarch themed army soon, just gotta get it a bit more assembled first :) .

Adam Barrow, if I ever met you in real life, I would buy you a six pack for the 4th edition comment. You sir, rock.

I love the necrarch unit, very unique. Paint them with love and they will come to your feet like a pet cat presenting you with a mouse. :vampire3:

@robtion Thanks, mate. And that's a very good question. Still thinking on it. I'm leaning toward a planchette (google "seance umbrella academy". His shirt).

@kev Dude, I want to see your Necrarchs. And I think we should have team Necrarch banners. :zombie:

@Sen Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders. Check out Pathfinder for reals. And you knew I like murder presents!

@Bullhax You honor me, sir. I love your work. Too bad I missed the Dwarf Challenge. Ended up sitting on the beach for a week when I would have been painting. Not a bad trade.

Time to slay these last pesky Ghouls. Worked today to get these last 13 dudes in the state they're in now. That's

4 that need blood and eye dots
4 that need bone whites, bone wash, blood, and eye dots
3 that need bone whites, wash, and eyes
1 that needs blood and metal
1 that, I don't know, he's blue? Failed test model from 3+ years ago.

And a Plague Priest watches the horde with a sneer. My queen of all girlfriends bought me my Plague Furnace kit, so that nets me the Furnace, Plague Priest, Grey Seer, and Vermin Lord (Bell Rogre). A serious upgrade to my models purchased for my rat-things. In fact, I indulged a little and broke my No Skaven Until Vampires Are Finished ban with some brainstorming.

More Ghouls finished soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Looking awesome! Just looked through the whole thing - I love all the conversions!

Would it be possible to get some close ups of your Terrorgheist? It looks to be on a very interesting base!

@Blackdevil Cheers. And yes, my work area (The Wardesk) gets a little outta hand sometimes. My kingdom for a Bag of Holding.
@Bloodbath He's really funny to me. I like that the sculpt looks like he's laughing. Jolly Zombie Dwarves for the win.
@Joex48 Glad you liked it! And that's not a bad idea. She's been in the Show Us Your thread for a while, but I guess it couldn't hurt to throw those here for completeness' sake.

So Here's my Tbat, Joan. Named for Joan Jett, because she screams the whole show. The whole flying flank of my army has graveyard bases, and with the pie plate she sits on, Joan's base let me play a little. Not sure what company made the walls, but brick walls aren't exactly hard to find. Renedra gravestone bits (I think Mantic sells them now), and some little naked lady from who knows where I found in the bits box (painted to be the metal gravetop statuette on the back corner grave.

My favorite part the whole model is the shovel. Until I get around to adding all these Corpse Cart bats I've picked up from bits sites. I'll never pay for the Infested upgrade, but the flavor text for it was too cool to pass up. She'll be crawling in Cart bats eventually. It's becoming clear that some projects will never be completely finished.

Great job on the TG,my only criticism is the black on the teeth and talons,it has no real value and detracts from the rest of it.
I'd use the same bone tone on them that you used on the skeleton, Maybe w/ some blood effects.
Just trying to be helpful,it looks very good right now.

Thanks, guys. This model was so fun, but Merciful Death, was it torturous. Daunting size, a cat broke it in twain at one point, the works. I sort of abandoned the teeth and claws back then to say I had finished the damned thing, but I always intend to revisit them. Waiting on the right inspiration, I guess.

And briefly back to business, I want to remind myself that the Doctor's Abyssal will be named Elvira, in keeping with the tradition of connotation-provoking/vaguely Southern female names Re: Melkhior's mount's name is Dolly (Parton), a sweet stitched together monster, and my Tbat Joan (Jett), a bitch with a song to scream at you.

She looks like a mistress of the dark, doesn't she?

Cheers! Comments and tips are always appreciated over there. Glad to hear you looked through it.

I previously didn't leave a comment because after I steal a ton of your ideas, I didn't want to leave evidence that could prove I'd seen your plog in court. :pumpkin:

When someone has a beard like that, you just know they are evil.

And having a beard like that, using ol' flagellant heads for a future necromancer might just have to be the first thing I steal.

Jokes aside, I think your army is awe-inspiring and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some of those pieces painted (especially your general) and, as I'm just getting back to starting up Vampire Counts, you've definitely inspired me and given me some ideas for conversions I'd like to work in -- and thanks to you and Raven Torrid, I'm going to have to work up an alternative list to include an Abyssal Terror (or a ZD) occasionally just so I can use that idea for the miniature.

You rule, my friend.

Thanks, Gehei. And steal away! But only if you start a plog so I can see the rest of your dudes. :konrad:

Busy busy! Me and my two oldest warhammer buddies have made a secret pact, and the short of it is 2400 pts or bust by a super secret date. Up first, I knocked out my first bunker of 20 Zombos. A lot of these models already had at least some paint on them (most of my models do, thank the Great Horned Rat), so at least it wasn't from scratch. It was wild finally finishing models I assembled when I was in 10th grade. We're talking like, 2001. I had a lot of fun putting my mind back into 10th grade Adam's mind by seeing how I had decided to assemble my numbskulls.

First Titan Forge Zomblin unit filler.

2013-10-15_23-34-40_647.webp

Really great models. They make me wish I was any kind of painter. Mushrooms!

2013-10-15_23-35-29_165.webp

So yes, that makes 5 units finished out of the 12 in this list.

2013-10-15_23-32-31_119.webp

Two Fell Bat units, Joan, 20 Zombos, and 45 Ghouls. It's nice to know I've got a big monster, a horde of infantry, and a decent start on Zombies behind me. Pressing on!

Will do after I get at least a whole unit done.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of green on zombie skin, I dig those zeds. I've been modeling mine with very minimal weapons as well (except for a few for extras and raise dead to represent the very recently-dead. Something more fitting about a shambling mass of mostly unarmed hands reaching out.

And now that drum beat will be stuck in my head for about a week. Lucifuge is my favorite Danzig record apart from Initium. I'mmma wwaahhhhaaaalllfff --- I ain't no baakkkaaaawawwwaaaaa.

I got to see Danzig a couple of weeks ago, with Doyle. It was wicked. And thanks for giving my Numbskulls a look.

Three Zombie Ogres down, five to go. And by down I mean 95% finished, but I'm done for the night. Pictars!

When I first saw you'd named your Terrorgheist "Joan," I assumed it was after Joan Rivers. Talk about a dessicated corpse, amirite?

Seriously though, great plog, love your paint schemes and dioramas.

I saw the corpse cart on page one and was like... well damn thats amazing bet theres only 1 page on the plog though!

Nope all 4 to soak up! Any paint on the CC yet?

@ben Maybe she'll teach me her life prolonging magic.
@Von Rapt No progress on the Cool Cart yet. But some day.
@jiros I'm a fan of 'em meself.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

I've been gone a month! But I was working a lot through out. First up were three more Zombogres. This makes six of eight finished. I'll get to the other two further down the post. After the Cannonball through the guts Zogre, Caught the cannonball with his guts Zogre, and Ramskull helm nailed to his face Zogre I knocked out ten more Zombies. Here's those guys.

Next was Zombie command groups and my main homie Taft. Making an appearance is the oldest conversion I ever did. Bell ringer Zombie Musician is from waay back. And I stole the idea from my bro, Taylor. I'd link him if he did that sort of thing.

This:

Became these:

That's little Marie on top, the albino ratty. <3

Then, by Hell, more Zombies. Unit filler clean up first. Came out to another full 20 dudes, with the Zombie Giant filler being two full ranks of 5.

So that puts us here.

The goal is to be painting Vargheists by xmas. Thanks for keeping me motivated, guys.

Dude you have some inspirational stuff there! I love the the giant unit filler and the dwarf with the skull head..............i'll admit it i might have to use that idea!

Thanks, dudes! That really helps keep me going.
