Armour saves

Hey all just wanted to get my head round something. If a character gets his Armour save up to a 1 + say a wight king with ha shield barded and night shroud or dragonhelm or something how does that translate? Does that make it re rollable or does that mean he will always pass if he is attacked by a strength 3 model?

You always fail armor saves on 1's.

having a 1+ armour save just means that the armour save is more durable to high strength attacks as a roll of a 1 always fails.

For example, if you have a 1+ armour save...

If you are attacked by a STR3 attack, your armour save is 2+
If you are attacked by a STR4 attack, your armour save is 2+
If you are attacked by a STR5 attack, your armour save is 3+
If you are attacked by a STR6 attack, your armour save is 4+
