I have to notice first, that history of Warhammer World in my fluff is not correct to the official GW Warhammer Story, which you'll find in your rulebooks. I'll won't type in about it now, but I'll focus on recent major events.

Norbert de Kaldorienne was awoken by ambitious, but foolish necromancer, who wished to fastly become powerful by breaking will of Norbert, and granting his services, as a servant. Foolishness of necromancer was rewarded by swift death from hands of Norbert. Necromancer had a wife, beautiful one Natalia von Rundt, she was frightened by the power of awoken monster, and he was seduced by her beauty. They started the "remake" of de Kaldorienne family (an old Bretonnian family).

Chapter I:
Norbert had to improvise his first armies. He went to fight with bunch of men, who he had captived to Vampireness. Natalia engaged in deep love with Norbert, which is nearly impossible with such evil creatures, but has happened. During the first GB (Glorious Battle - in our gaming club its a full scale all vs all battle involving everyone in club) Natalia gathered experience in commanding necromantic army well, and Norbert had thousands of bodies to reinforce his ranks. After schocking victory, they started building of their keep. From outside it looked as a small fort, but the true power was a subterranean complex under the building, easy to defend.
Norbert "adopted" also few, later important vampires:
-Frederic Koenig - achmage, who later will become field marshal of Kaldorienne Army
-count Carentan Alonville - seduced by Natalia, later became vampire
-Joan von Rundt - daughter of Natalia, she don't remember times when she wasn't vampire
-Rupert Castamonu - wizard of count Carentan
-Elvira von Rundt - older daughter of Natalia, she only remember "free" early childhood

II Chapter:
During the second GB many of vampires died, due to lack of blood they furiously and foolishly attacked well defended enemies. Then, those up became generals of Kaldorienne army. Main enemy in battle was Cult of Slaanesh army, with centrepiece of Beastlord on Manticore, which was slain by Norbert himself (on foot). Rest of CoS army fled, but vampires found them, and slaughtered them to the last man. They made their great feast to the morning, when new enemies came (GB 3). The vampires were surprised by so quick CoS contra, and overruned. Still Norbert managed to kill second Manticore, and flee with gathered remnants of as many dead elvish army as he could, with rest of his armies. During the "collecting of bodies" all other vampires died, but impressive look of Abyssal Terrors was his target, and master concept. Once vampires were retreating, Elves nearly managed to slain all his less generals, only Frederic and him stayed alive. The enemy forces encircled Norbert with his wagons full of bodies, when Frederic sacrificed his life with giantic Death Wave towards one direction, and through this, he gave a path to Norbert, to safe escape and hide in deeps of his stronghold. Frederic corpse was though taken with others.

III Chapter:
Once they sealed the only entry to the deep well, and with Natalia they were thinking only about taking revenge for fallen comrades, skeleton diggers found tunnel. It was Skaven tunnel. Ratmen attacked to defend, but Norbert and Natalia nearly by themselves killed all of them. Only 17 Slaves was let to live, they are from now "food" for vampiric couple. They are fielded on battlefield as normal Skaven unit, alive unit, but Vampiric heroes can join them. Other aspects of game also affect them, if fluff gives a such permission ;)
That's for now with the Fluff. Let's see what I have in fugurines collection :)

The models which are used as Kaldorienne heroes :) unfortunately, because of limited finances, their names has to be replaced :)

"Harbingers of Evil" - the eyes of my army :)

Rest unfortunately yet unpainted :(
Still hope you'll like it!

The vampire characters are a touch too purple for my liking, but each to his own! However, I love your Dire Wolves! The bright green manes look awesome, and combined with the deeper purple of the flesh they almost look radioactive :P If someone described them to be I'd think "Wha?!? Ludicrous!" but you've actually really pulled it off! Congratulations! More! Especially Blood Knights! You have 15???

Thanks friend, yes I have 15 Blood Knights, although probably I will "kill" 2 banner bearers and make from them riders to my 2 winged nightmares (one original, and another from Balrog - Lord Of The Rings GW miniature).

Also a new painting scheme for the army with my converted Grave Guard regiment:
ai12.photobucket.com_albums_a235_blessio_PB060039.webp

Those are bought, I will make some new guys. I plan to field them as Grave Guard because of great shields, smaller ones will be used by standard skeletons in my army. Most of skeletons will be half buried in ground.
There will be also unit of converted ellyrian reavers (which will be converted to dark elves cavalry, and then to black knights, due to my army defy dark elves the most).

If paint scheme won't be cool enough in my opinion I'll change it for another time (last time I use too much violet/purple tones I'm getting sick to think about painting whole army in this color :) It must be 2colors at least now).
Watch for updates!

The skeletons look nicely painted. The colours of the clothes and shields make me think of hungary (I play Medieval II TW too much).

I really like how you done the tail and hair of the horse. Really nice!

The Dire Wolves really look rotten to say the least :zombie1:

Pavise Spear Skeletons!

I too play total war too much...

All looks nice the wierd colours give the army a nightmarish look

I've managed to make 20 new skeletons today. As I've said, they are emerging from the ground. The skellies update will be online probably today late evening, or tomorrow (5-9 hours from writing of this post or in 14-19 hrs ;) ).
I've taken extra care for bases though, and I made them totally by myself (cardboard is my friend! ;) ).
Due to my commision painting services (I'm very very cheap for you :D ) I have lack of time, and my academy needs me a lot. Still though I have nights to paint :) I wan't to make abomination just like Warcraft III style. It will be my Vaghulfs (i don't wan't furs in my army :D ).
Thanks for comments, check for updates soon!

Aiiie! Psychadelic! Awesome.
The one bit of criticism I'd have for the topmost models would be that some of the red looks a little flat and needs a highlight or a wash. I love the skeletons, they are very gritty and dirty looking, just as they should!

The muscles on the skeletons look very good, but i would advice you to give it black wash. Did you already varnished it? Are that bases cardboard?

Your purple armoured Vampires is fantastic and gives me some great inspiration for when I finally get my own Blood Knights and paint them in my green colour scheme.

I however would suggest you paint the skin different to the armour as they look pretty much the same and don't stand out as much. If they were a lighter purple or perhaps a different coloured skin tone, that would be great.

Your Dire Wolves are the closest thing I've seen to what I'm going to do to mine so kudos for that and they look great too. Cool idea with your rising skeletons, don't think I've seen a whole unit done like that. The Grave Guard are done quite well and look very good in a big unit like it is in the pic.

All in all a fantastic army. Even more so when you've used both green and purple as the main colours in your army just as I have, only with green being the main and purple the secondary.

I have to say i am impressed with how you have made purple look such a good colour scheme. Not one i would have thought of but you have made a great army that looks fantastic. Nice , very nice.

An interesting palette choice. If I am honest it is too bright for me, but that's just my personal tastes. What I will say though, is that they are very well painted.

The paint job is great, as are those converted grave guard. However, I agree that the skin should be a different color from the clothing in order to make it stick out

Recent News. I have to tell you about background so you guys would understand the idea of game. Well, we have made Warhammer RYK edition. RYK means Rycerze Y Kupcy (Knights And Merchants) how out club is being called officially. RYKcerze means "Knights" so we are Knights (thats about only name of our version I hope you'll understand ;) ).
What is out version of story? Well, Norbert de Kaldorienne was Bretonnian knight. He once fought along with Imperium against Mannfred von Carstein. Army of Mannfred was defeated, although Mannfred had escaped succesfully. Last person who fought him was Norbert. He was overwhelmed by power of Mannfred and easily defeated. Vampire performed blood kiss to Norbert and fled from battlefield. Thankfully noone seen it. Norbert, to hide his shame of defeat told everyone, that he defeated vampire.
Humans went to feast for glorious victory, and it has happened. Sylvania gain extra witch hunters to find and exterminate any minor vampires left alive. Nobody although could predict, that a glorious battle hero could be vampire. So that's how Norbert managed to hide his vampirism. Firstly he wasn't thirsty of blood, he was just becoming more angry with time. He started to be harsh and unrightful. He executed many peasants in Sylvania, but managed to build a strong provincial army. Imperium offered Norbert a wife in gesture of thanks for saving from vampire hands. Many beautiful women gathered around Norbert in his Palace, but he was interested into dark haired beauty, Natalia. She was a wife of powerful Mage, but she was charmed easily by Norbert.
Finally, time for election has came. Electors started traditional wars between them, and Norbert was interested in throne too. He walked with his peasant army against neighbours. He was defeated and killed. His army scattered, and he has been buried in nice tomb. Nobody knew, that he was vampire... Mage although planned to use his powers to revive Norbert as his eternal and powerful slave to do his bidding like a puppet. He was surprised, when opened a tomb after few months after his death, and revealed nearly white skin, but no stinky smells. Then, suddenly Norbert opened his eyes and with quick move bite Mage in his neck. This mage was Frederick Koenig. (fluff was little changed, to make it work properly with world story)
The rest? He get up and kissed his wife. She was frightened, but still charmed, by his devilish aura. After this incident, Norbert began to rebuild Sylvanian power. In the place of his tomb he builded great Necropolis Frostthorn. City of undead gathered many around it. Wars of Counts Electors raged well, creating ideal environment to make new power in Empire. Electors finally realised, that small Sylvania is starting to make another threat to living. It was unfortunately too late. This time Sylvanians managed to overwhelm in 200 days whole Empire with their undead army. They marched day and night, they haunted border forts, they sow terror in villages. Finally main armies were so destroyed, that electors given Norbert rightful title of Emperor.
The theatre of campaign is Sylvania and lands eastward and westward. Only small fragment, due to lack of our armies (only DE, VC, Chaos, TK, O&G and Skaven).

I am agreeing with you guys. So the army is going to become more... "complicated". How?
Well plans are actually that way:

Army of Natalia de Kaldorienne (Red/Green)
It will consist of One Vampire Lord on Winged Nightmare (general)
Probably She'll have own Banner Bearer (invented banner of Frostthorn - first de Kaldorienne Necropolis).
She'll have
30 Grave Guards in her army (as shown in earlier post)
5 Blood Knights
20 skeletons
10 Dire Wolves
20 Zombies

Army of Norbert de Kaldorienne (inventing scheme, now its a silver and with gold addons)
5 Blood Knights
30 Ghouls
Skaven Battalion(food)

They will be fielded together but in fluff they're two different armies. Natalia defends Frostthorn and is sending to Norbert newly created reinforcements, He needs in struggle against insidious Dark Elves, and Tob Kings's Vampire Hunters.
Maybe fluff sounds idiotlike, but it is created all the time. Also my english isnt oerfect its difficult to type in the whole climate.

After battles we are playing also something ala Warhammer Quest, were our heroes go on quest for finding invented by Game Master artifacts and use them in future battles. We have also restrictments like for example spells which caused effect on whole battlefield now cause effect only in 48". Armies who fight in one team can interfere with another pair (often armies are unbalanced, so one plays against 2 or three)

While the fluff isn't exactly historically correct, it's not "idiotlike". I think it's a good idea with the Bretonnian knight lying about killing Mannfred and his plans about world dominion. Though there are a couple of things you should work on:
  • You should try and give a better explanation for staying behind in Sylvannia. The obvious thing would after all be to head back to Bretonnia and use his old castle as a base.
  • The other thing I think is that you should avoid telling the entire story from beginning to end. By stopping the tale when he is about to invade (and claim) the Empire, you'll make the fluff much more interesting to reader, seeing as it leaves you with a nice cliffhanger.

If he was fighting alongside the Imperium against Mannfred, no wonder the bloody von Carstein lost! Those Space Marines sure do shred skeletons armed with swords and the Imperial Guard could certainly bombard them to smithereens.

Well Vekarin Empire in english means the same as Imperium (latin) I learned latin for three years that's why I use Empire and Imperium as exchangeable terms :)
Don't be ironic please :)
