Avatar/vargheist conversion

Hello everybody,

Has anyone heard of putting vargheist wings on an eldar avatar of khaine? I have an old metal one on the square base and was thinking of using him as a vargheist champion

Way too much eldar iconography on him. You'd have to GS most of the details away and that seems a bit of a waste. You could paint it up in grey statue colours, sprinkle on some moss and have a vargeist climbing over it?

I have no idea how tall Vargheists are, but i'm pretty certain the Eldar god is at least 2 times the height of a regular 40K infantry model. Which are themselves a good deal bigger than Fantasy infantry. But if the scale looks right, it would be quite cool.

There really is a lot of eldar iconography on him it's true. I'm not really going for the golden daemon of conversions really so it's not a big deal. I'm thinking of just using him in friendly games as an extra model in the unit, and if I were to take pictures of my vargheist unit or enter them in a painting competition I would probably remove him from the unit. I'm mostly just looking for wings so that it's not so unbelievable that he's flying. And if I had a vargheist to have climbing on him I would just use it normally I also want to be able to run him in my eldar army if I truly felt inclined to do so

@Count Vashra He's surprising similar in size to the vargheists, I'll try and snap a pic of them ranked up if I end up going back to my place tonight.

Size wise he works but his look is just is just way off for the gothic feel of vampire counts, i just don't see it working without some serious conversion work.

Vargheists are quite tall then? (Monstrous Infantry, whilst the Khaine-shard is a Monstrous Creature from an already larger scale)
