Has anyone ever ordered miniatures via avatars of war? would you recommend them? Is paying via bank transfer safe/secure?

i think this thread would fit better in the "Market Place" forum, with that being said....i would not be suprised if avatar of war atleast use paypal, so transfers should probebly be safe

I've ordered from them. They are excellent mini's, and work quite well with GW. Most people can't tell they aren't GW. They are safe, I had no issues.

Note they the metal is slightly softer then you might be used to.

They have just moved to another place, so you might receive your models a bit late... The models was originally an alternative to GW models, so they do fit nicely.

I have seen there miniatures, the Goblin Warlord in particular is very unique.

Ihave ordered minis from him and have no complaints about his service although it does take quite a while before you get them. I do know of some people who still haven't received their minis after 6 months. Probably due to the move, but still, not great.
The models themselves are brilliant though.

I have had a couple off them, and they are excellent. I believe that they are ex-GW sculptors (so I was told, anyway) and that would explain the style/scale/feel being so similar. I have found moulding and sculpting quality to be better, and the minis often having more 'movement'.

It's ex-sculptor to be more precise. His name's Felix Paniagua and he's responsible for the sheer awesomeness that are the Dwarven Lords.

Yes i like them. I bought them off arceneminiatures.co.uk and got them quickly. I have a half painted dark elf sorceress in my painting log if you want to see one. It does not do it justice really. It come with loads of different arms so it is easy to have different versions.

They're gonna release a necro in october (if my memory is correct), so I doubt there will be a vamp in a while yet...

for avatars of war its the face of the dark elf sorceress that im not sure about. any other sites where you can purchase female characters that could pose as vampires (semi naked minimum though) just because there dead it doesnt mean they have to wear clothes

I'm waiting for the Necromancer release as well. When it comes out, I will be picking up a couple of Dire Wolves as well to use as Doom Wolves if I ever field any, the GW ones are really ugly. If you live in the states, you can order from coolminiornot like I'm going to. They carry the entire line of Avatars of War I believe, and they usually get stocked fairly quickly after a release. Whenever I order from coolminiornot I usually get my order in the time span of three days. They also have excellent customer service, I ordered from them and two days later they restocked a mini that was sold out that I wanted. I called them up and asked if my order had been shipped already because I was wondering if I could tack on the restocked mini to my original order. They said that it shipped out the day before. Then they offered to ship me the restocked mini with free shipping. The next day I got my original order in the mail, two days after that I got a second package containing the restocked mini.
