Black Knights bargain

I just have to share this with someone...

I've always liked the look of GW's Black Knights, but they are just way too pricey (in Denmark the price is approx. 10.7 £ for one). However, I just bought 11 unpainted Black Knights for 19 £ from someone who had stopped playing (and he reduced the price by furter 2 £ when he realised 1 shield was missing)... So I got them for 1.5 £ a piece!

Buying used miniatures rocks!

Those look excellent, but we need some more closeups from the front of the models (need to see their faces). I especially like what you've done to the helmet with the plume.

Pictures are a little blurry too. Holding th camera still with two hands and leaving it until the picture is fully captured would help. What I've seen so far, however, is great.

Congrats on getting them cheap. Im not a massive fan of the models (think i have 4 of my own to sell somewhere) but you've done a good job with the painting from what i can see. Not crazy about the green rimmed bases tho, but thats just me

Well done on the bargain. Though to be honest, most VC players including myself are not too fond of those models. So chances are those particular models will never go for large amounts.

However at the end of the day your happy and that's what matters.

From what I can see they look pretty good, but we do really need some clearer pictures. One thing I would say is that the armour looks a bit to shiny - could do with being made to look more rusty.

I'll see if I can get a better camera somewhere, but unfortunately this is pretty much the best I can do with my phone... But then I'll promise some better pics in the future.

On the subject of green bases, I can only agree that they are very boring. However I had painted about 3500 pts worth of models when I realised how much you can actually do with the basing, and I can't see myself painting all of those bases again. So to keep the uniform look of my army I think I'll stick with the green bases for my VC for now


On the subject of rust (/Too shiny armour), the pictures do make the armour look a bit more shiny than it is, but I will try making it more rusty anyway

The bases might be boring but since they look very similar to most of the table surfaces you'll be playing on they will probably look more part of the surroundings than other models would which is a good thing.

Grats on the bargain. I'm with the black knights model hating fraternity but when a units costs £35 I think it's hard to see it go for next to nothing even if you don't like them.
