As the titles says, what would you suggest as my Blood Knights? The original VC models or some other GW mounted models? And if the answer to the latter question in yes, which one would you suggest?

Well as much as i love the BK models,i refuse to pay the price for them!:devil:
So for alternatives how about:
Empire knights
Brettonian Knights(grail knights?)
I'm personally using Dragon princes for my HE theme.
There are probably a lot more,but they are the ones that spring to mind.

they aren't overpriced IMO, please show me a model mounted with a metal mount that cost under 8 GBP... the 5 knight box costs 40 GBP and it's fine for me (much better than a 30 GBP box with the odd empire plastic horse with a metal head)
Also, I don't hear any imperial player complains about the steam tank. And the KoTbD are a much better models.
As a final thought, they cost as much as a kroxigor cost (10 GBP each), and the model is much better.

Cheaper than £8? Gamezone's are all £6... that's the first place I thought for top drawer metal mounted models. Don't know about anywhere else. I really like the GW Blood Knight models (they're almost Gamezonesque actually, a high compliment indeed!), but wouldn't pay the asking price.
To be honest for what your getting - 5 metal models you aren't getting ripped off, its just whether you can afford it or not, look at the other sites that will give you 10/15 % discount or ebay but don't be surprised if you can't find any under £30.00. If I get Blood Knight I will actually buy them as I think they are probably the best new models released thus far.
Conversion wise - I don't think you will actually be able to convert something easily that will match the fluff of the Blod Knights the models but if I was to go for something it would be Bret Grail Knights or maybe Empire.

I was talking about GW models (and the uses before my post talk about GW models too). All we know they are other miniature manufacturers, but not even gamezone has a suitable miniatures for the kotbk. And I beleve the gamezone mounts are superb, but I don't like their raiders.
I already have a unit of KoTbK and I feel than the price I paid for them was just enough, not a bargain, but not a robbery either.
