Dunno if this is the right place to put this but here goes...also forgive me if these guys have already been mentioned.

I follow BTP on youtube. They are a small company that does all sorts of stuff with miniatures. Just thought I would give them a shout-out here. I really enjoy looking at their stuff because they always have some really cool mini's painted up for us to see.

I love their work with Ork stuff. They have a fantastic example of a Death Skulls army w/ Forgeworld items! And I looked to them for inspiration for my Squiggoth, because they did a great job on theirs.

I do follow Blue Table Painting as well, if only because Shawn Gately is a fundamentally hilarious person. Most of the stuff that comes out of their studio is mass-painted crap, but every once in a while they do a project that looks really good and I have a chance to slobber over it before forgetting about it entirely.

I've also spoken with Shawn concerning a quote or two ( Which ended in me skipping away due to $ ) and I can say that I would extremely doubt he would even think of intentionally screwing people over. He doesn't run a small little closet of commissions by himself for a little bit of cash. He runs a business that is his life and he clearly treats it with professionalism and dedication.
If you're dissatisfied with your commission then you should know that BTP gives you 2 full days after giving you 10 - 50 pictures of your commission for your approval. They'll send it right back to the artists for you.

Commission business such as BTP base MUCH of their operations on return customers. "Screwing" people over would be a death sentence. So far it seems that they are doing well considering they recently expanded their office to a second floor and "opened up" a permanent terrain service.

Well I dont want to start a flame war so as long as it does not turn into that then I dont mind. First and formost they are a great bunch of people and I would game with shawn any time but I would never work with him in a business.

If you search his videos you will find that a while ago he did a eldar armor cast titan to tie into an all wraith bone army and the way he got that titan was from a friend of mine in my gamming group named brian ( or Nataku on you tube). He talked to shawn in doing a trade so we could get some cool terain. He shiped the titan and we got the terain but what we got was no where near what we were promised. It looked like crap and was no good. So long story short after a flame war on you tube shawn appologized for trying to rip Brian off and sent us a ton of terain. Though he did eventually come through with what he promised it left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths and some damages to his and natakus sales on their respective sites from fanaticle followers of both sides.

That flame war in the Warhammertube community...
I knew that something had occurred before that involved terrain and a rather respected Youtube user in the wargaming community.
I never realized that it was in fact Natakue who had been directly involved.

I would like to add however that at the time I believe Shawn was trying to bring on new artists to the team. And that BTP wasn't exactly a Terrain commissioning company at the time. Faded memories haunt me here.

But yes, unfortunately, I think the fanatical followers tried to take a situation that they had no reason to interfere with too far. :slapface:
