Bones. Reaper Bones.

Anybody 'round these parts had occasion to paint any of the Reaper Bones line models? They're a white, sorta vinyl material, and I hear they take some getting used to. I've read a bit here and there about how the models hold paint, so I'm looking for any insight from you esteemed individuals.

I have a ghost from them and it keeps paint nicely. They advertise it that bones can be painted without undercoating, but I did it regardless and it works good. I am a little worried about the bendiness as that can shift the paint a lot on the mini and maybe in the long run something will start to chip away, but I didn't noticed anything bad so far.

I've also got a couple of the ghosts. Exactly as Borgnine says, plus one of mine had a lot of release agent on it, needed a good wash.

I have a few of the larger giant figures and i cant say i am too impressed with the rigidity of the plastic. Both thick swords have warped quite alot.

Painted up this guy a while ago. No primer, just direct paint. Took the paint well and the bendiness didn't cause any problems so far!

Painted about 10 of them so far, all undercoated in GW black and or white spray. No paint adhesion problems at all. Definitely read the preparation advice on the Reaper website to help with mold lines and so on. Also, some of the weapons are poor, and I've done a few replacements using GW parts, brass rod and so on. Yet to try a model much bigger than man-sized though.

i just got a wraith and malek the necromancer,tought to use them to the army but they are kind of oversized.....kind of ...
but I thought to use them as a unit filler,so i let you how they come out ASAP

Thanks for the tips, guys. My Casket is from the Bones line, but the rest of the model is GW. Gunna prime the whole thing when the rest of the bits arrive and hope for the best.
