Booah's undead

[Booah]

Hello, this will be the start of my unintended undead. After buying up some spirit host as a painting experiment, I soon applied the same scheme to some empire militia I had hanging around. By the following week I had the nagash book and more recently I decided to buy nagash (thinking £65 quid for his points isn't that bad).

After painting him up, I gave in and have begun the purchase of what will be a fairly mixed force. I Have not decided on any overall theme but am quite keen to dabble in some kit bashing and minor conversions. I find it really helpful to keep a log of my progress (have done the same with ogres and empire) and am really motivated by seeing other people's armies.

Absolutely lovely stuff. What else will you have in store for us?

[Seneschal]

Exceptional work. I especially like the books.
The bone looks very well done, especially on the staff and on the top of his hat.

Nice armor. I love the purple. Also Seneschal called it, the bone looks great.

Love the open book in Nagash's arm. Painting it the same as the spirit hosts around him really helps to balance the model out, something I feel is missing on the 'eavy metal version.

Spirit horde unit look cool too. What will you use them as game wise I only wonder?

[Eternal Salvation]

Much wow! Very spirit~

Thanks for the comments. Had a blast painting nagash but now to something much more mundane but necessary. I have built up my core/ summoning fodder.
8 chariots

40 skeletons

20 skeleton archers

10 horse archers

This should give me a good starting point and I hope to paint it up by Christmas, at least to a basic standard before getting onto more interesting stuff.

Its been a while but I have made some progress on the above, most of the bone has been completed, its amazing how much extra little detail there is and I think I took onto much which didn't help motivate me . I'm going to stick to one unit at a time (think I will need to split the some of them up further). 1st core unit completed, some skeleton horse archers:

They look great! Very earthy and ancient.
I took a quick look through your stuff and I like the dark shards, too ;-)
