RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Well, I did fight a battle yesterday against the dreaded wood elves. I might try to write something up there. ;)

The group shot may come sometime this week, maybe tomorrow. :)

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Your army looks awesome!! Love the ideas! looking forward to see more pics.

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Thank you very much! :) Sadly I haven't had any motivation to paint for some time, but someday I will paint more. :)

Crimson: I just posted a battle rep, check it out! ;)

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

I realized that I had not uploaded pictures of my unit fillers, but here they are in all their gory glory!

Just very simple fillers, nothing too fancy, but still, they do their job! ;)

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Thank you all! :)

Glad you asked Skaramak!

First I base the whole model black. :O
Then just paint the metal parts with boltgun metal
Give all metal areas a wash of Flesh Wash.
Gently drybrush with boltgun metal
And last, but not least a small amount of highlighting with Mithril Silver.

Hope it helps, I could also throw up some piccies if there is any interest?

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Okay, so here I got some WIP pictures. I know they are just a little blurry, the last one is really bad. ;)

First as I said, make it all black. ;)

And then, paint all metal... metal. Boltgun metal that is.

ai222.photobucket.com_albums_dd189_ododen_P8280536_2.webp

And then flesh wash all metal areas.

ai222.photobucket.com_albums_dd189_ododen_P8290537_1.webp

And highlight with boltgun metal and mithril silver

Thats that! :) Hope it helps!

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

Yes i like the technique. Flesh wash is the greatest of all the washes for that effect and I was gutted that they stopped selling it.
Do like your tree, it looks nice and creepy to go with some nicely painted troops. Keep the pictures flowing Boo.

RE: Boo´s Undeadhochland painting log

*gasp*They've stopped selling Flesh wash? The only frigging wash I have ever used! Just my luck then I guess...

I'll try to update whenever I feel the urge to paint. Sadly I haven't really done that in some time...
