Brettonian Themed Black Knights: First Rank Completed

Just finished the first rank of my Brettonian themed Black Knights.
I am going for a different look with these. My dissatisfaction with the VC cavalry models prompted me to theme my VC as Brettonians. I decided to use KotR figures and weather them and rust them to make them look old. The look I am trying to get is of sealed suits of armor that have an unnatural glow from within. I did not try adding skeletal parts or anything because I feel those would look tacked on because you would have a broad chest and legs and then skinny skeletal pieces.
Second rank is hot on the heels, pardon the pun.
The photo's are not the best and I think basing will go a long way, but that will have to wait.

[The Dark Sheep]

I like the dirty, streaky look on the barding. I'm not sure about the colour of the glow, though. It looks more like lantern light than witchfire.

I like the paintjobs! Would have liked to see a little more well... "unnatural'ed'ness" The yellow light in the faceplates is not doing it for me, maybe a eerie green or blue would be better?

Looking nice, maybe little too nice? they looked like dirty bretonnian knights, maybe something little more undead needed.

they look slightly antiquish (is that a word, who cares) and the strange glow emitting from their eyes is cool as well
excellent detail work by the way
i did my bretonian nights / black knights with all the same colours but those are great and prove me wrong

The visors actually are more of a green color - the flash has muted some of the colors. I will try to take some better pictures once the entire unit is finished.

I think they look great; love the red you used and the dirty look.

Nice work on the red and weathering effect, my only discrepancy would be the dirty yellow.

@ DS: are you listening: "Dirty yellow." Your right though crimson. It does look a little like puke-ish. Either way an impressive unit. You have a wonderful hand and eye for detail on all your models. I can't wait to see the new pics.

Great work there. I particularly like the weathered appearance.

I think that the glow is a little too yellow, and would personally prefer a slightly greener tone, but like the effect overall.
