Why on earth haven't i replied to these ages ago, shame on me!
I thought about adding some black but got stuck on chosing a pattern that would look good so I skipped it. Don't think i will ever get around to it.. Maybe if/when i get better at freehanding I will try painting a banner'esk design on it..

Beautiful piece! If I may be so bold as to suggest something: Maybe add some contrasting details to the body of the Arachnarok to make the model less uniform?

Here's what I've been up to. My Skrag / Coven Throne model. I will try to get some better pictures next time I'm home and the sun is up the lighting really suffers in most of the pictures, these two were acceptable though.
As per usual every time I shoot close up pictures of my models I find places that needs to be touched up.

I the the black ties for the drapes could do with a wee edge highlight on the bottom though, looks a bit flat atm.

Was exactly what I was talking about, also further shade the spider, looks better in real life. And the skull on the spike needs touching up too.. I stare myself blind sometimes.. Taking pictures actually help me cach the missing spots
I've been looking at my BSB for a LOONG time now and I had to agree that the back looked better than the front.. I took action and cut off the front added the standard plate that comes with the ogre banner and added the skeleton wrapped in spiderweb befitting my theme of spiders better. My latest IG joins my army of the dead:
EDIT: as said in my previous post taking pictures help me catch my own mistakes, the stitchings on the pants needs highlighting and the "stones" hanging from the gutplate could get a different colour.

Very cool army. I love the use of yellow- its such a fun colour to paint, and people don't seem to use it enough in fantasy armies.

I totally agree, which is why I made it my main colour theme. A well painted Night gobbo army is very killer.. And in 40k the bad moon orks.. But yeah it isn't used enough.!

Damn I really feel sorry for the zombie page keeper, nice work there mate.
Ogre looks good as well but I feel you should realy oxidize the metal bands of his club and add a bit pulped blood effect to it, with it being on the rest of the model it just feels missing there.

That weapon looks terrible, great job, exactly how it should look.

Glad you like it.! I agree, and it looks better too. Did think about it initially but thought the blood would be too much but it's not, at all. So I'm a happy man, you can stare yourself totally blind on these things so having you guys point out stuff like this really helps me out! Thank you!

It was very fun to paint but a huge challenge as vell. Will go on to new projects, my OK needs to get done.! And revisit the model as it needs some tweeking here and there.. The nails need something more. Not a 100% sold on the horn from his head, might try out other colour schemes for it. For now I call him done.!
