cant think of how to paint the plate male on my male vampire

Okay well I got a very nice model from reaper today to use as my male vampirenow my only problem is that I cant seem to think of how to paint the plate because all the pics I see are a redish but the main colors in my army are blue and brown and the plate on everything but my blood knights are boltgun metal. So what I am asking is should I keep with the boltgun metal or should I give it a blueish tint 9via wash) or what?

You do what you want in the end. The question is IMO is what do you think they need to get tied to the rest of the army. In short, what makes sense to you. I never paint on others thoughts, I form an image of my own and go for it. It is after I am who is painting it, and I am not painting it anyone else but me. So yeah, that be my approach.
