It matters as we are trying to create an actual list that will be balanced, and can be used on the table top.

I'm not saying the power is bad, I quite like it. But it will need pumping up to 55pts, and to be honest whilst it is good I don't think its good enough to replace any of the powers we already have.

Avatar of Death however does seem abit redundant. I am guessing we will give mundane options for the bloodlines where it is appropriate anyways. Call winds is abit of signature move for the Carsteins.

Also I think I was stoned/drunk and uncouncious when I suggested wolf form to be at 10pts, should be 20pts since you can repeat it all over your army.

Sorry Flaming Hand, but as GW still holds the rights to them books, no copying the exact wording.

Dancey - I think Wolf Form is fine. In earlier editions it was less than that, and again looking at the bloodline I personally think it should stay at 10pts.

I can understand the AoD - I wasn't sure when it was wrote up. So if we are going to provide access to mundane armour via the army list we can have a looks at Call Winds.

The only issue is that it is another high pointed power, which leads it to 3 powers around the 50pts mark. Then again I was looking at Master of Beasts and thinking it's not worth 50pts, but perhaps 40pts? It can then be combined with Wolf Form which would make it more tactically viable.

So I suggest lowering MoB to 40pts, removing AoD and inputting Call Winds at 55pts.

It was 20pts in the previous book actually and IMO 10pts makes more than viable.

Yeah, I do. Limiting it to a single vampire we might as well just make it a magic item and drop it altogether and I really dont want to do that as I think a wolf themed army might be alot of fun. Sort of like a posh hunting party or something. As for the point of combining wolf and beasts I think it makes sense to limiting that to a lord and I do believe it should stay at 50pts as you are garanteed to produce 5 wolves and be able to raise them through IoN alot quicker. A mere thrall shouldnt be able to pull that off in my opinion.

Fair enough, I see you're point about keeping it at 50pts.

I still think 20pts is steep, I would compromise at 15pts.

Is Call Winds accepted at 55pts then? We would just write up up in our own way Flaming Hand. Chances GW wouldn't care, but its best be careful.

How about

Master of Storms 55 points
Such is this vampires power that even the winds and the clouds must submit to him.
Instead of moving in the movement phase the vampire can try to call a storm. Roll a D6, on a 1 nothing happens. On a 2-6 the vampire summons fierce winds. Until the beginning of the vampires next turn all shooting is at a -1 to hit and all flying creatures must use their ground movement. The storm end if the vampire moves in any way, is engaged in close combat, is wounded or slain.

Basicly its the same power but with other wording and a new name.

Just a quick thought but something like Master of Storms I believe should have some sort of negative effect upon enemy casters particularly magic missiles. either have to cast with an extra +1 or reducing range of casting by 6" or something.

Why? It's not like a warpstorm or anything. It's just a normal storm. Plus if we did something like that we would have to increase the points cost, which we don't really want to do.

OK, I was thinking this could be the next powers to put to the vote. We seem to be doing pretty well at the moment, no major disagreements to the Strigoi (thanks to Dancey xd) or Lahmian bloodline powers.

The only thing I think needs changing is the Wolf power, as it seems wrong to have to names starting with Master of.... so I've changed to Beast Affinity unless some else has a better suggestion?
