"Classic Vampire Counts" 2500

Hi there guys, I was thinking of creating a version of an older Vampire Counts army one of the Necrarch

Total Roster Cost: 2500

Hello there

We can't post individual points for items or unupgraded units because of GW's policy.

I salute you for the fluffy list and award you style points. I do think the list will struggle without that many reliable damage sources. BK's need characters and Varghulfs die to spirit leech, casket of souls and fireballs very easily.
-I'd drop screaming banner first of all without AoDM and grab more skellies.
-Take out 1 SH
-BK and GG don't work that well in the same list. Both units require a big investment and need character support to get the most out of them. Drop the BK's for 8 Crypt Horrors. They are reliable and will go well with the rest of the infantry.
-It would break from your theme, but how do you feel about making your VL a bit more offensive? RF for example would help.
-Sub Dispel Scroll for Book.

I didnt realis that individual posts extended towards units apologies.

Thank you for your comments i'll see what i can do with the suggestions when I get in tonight.

Shouldn't think that RF will break the scheme too nuch since I have yet to write any fluff for the army/characters.

Finally little confused with your last comment I dont have dispel scroll an hve book or arkhan already

I don't see this list as being very 'Necrarch'.

Your lord has to be a level 4 caster!
Summon Creatures of the Night' doesn't really fit in with the fluff, nor do 2x vargulfs. You can still take them... however, your list looks more like a 'Von Carstein' at the moment.

I would follow Seneschals advice as well.
