This would be interesting but I don't believe a coven throne has the ability to join skeleton chariots.

By reading some of the other threads (RAW) characters on skeleton chariots cant join units of skeleton chariots other than strictly a tomb kings army.

Yup, only the ones with the "And the Tomb Kings rode to war..." (which is in a Chariot, an option only available to Tomb Kings / Princes) are allowed to join with others with the same rule.

At least that's the logic we follow here, it's like "their thing", haha

It says characters riding chariots in a tomb kings army. A strict reading does not allow any characters to join skeleton chariot units in an undead legions army, not even those who would normally be able to do so in a regular Tomb Kings army. A fully permissive interpretation would allow coven thrones to do so, while a split the difference interpretation would allow princes and kings in undead legions to do so, but not vamps on thrones.

There is not a clearly correct interpretation, nor is there FAQ or errata on the matter. You will have to read the rules and discuss them with your gaming group, or contact event planners in organized play settings.

A fully permissive interpretation of these interactions does make UL significantly more powerful than either of its parent lists, and VC weren't exactly bottom tier to begin with. If the chaos legions follow suit, than it is likely we'll see a significant gap in power between regular single faction armies and end times, multifaction armies.

If this happens, many local metas and probably most organized venues will likely split the game along those lines, with end times armies only for games against other end times armies.

Both! Lots of people are saying 'oh that's cool,' and more than a few have bought Nagash, but no one's actually gotten around to playing any of the stuff. I suppose when they finish painting them...

I haven't gotten too many games in myself. A couple test games, a couple arguments over rules, and mostly I've been working on modeling with what very limited hobby time I have left between classes, homework, and work. But I do know that the 50% lords & heroes thing has caught on, and one guy has gone heavy on the undead legions thing, picking up a bunch of morghasts. I didn't rate them too highly at first, but they've done well for him, and they really are fantastic models (though I think anchoring a foot with some scenery - a tombstone or a rock outcropping or something - is pretty necessary). I've only got one box so far, but I really want two more.

I would love to have my old Beastmen mix it back up with the daemons... I remember having a similar idea when I read the BRB and it said that heroes can make up their own units. I thought a unit of 5 gobo big bosses on wolf chariots would awesome/hilarious/disastrous.

Back on topic. I think I agree with Aedin. I don't think that the rules strictly speaking allow this. It might be fun to try it out for giggles.
