Cthulhu's thread of different things

  • The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Sorry for the delay! I've been rather busy lately, looking for a job. But thank you very much for your nice comments! Always makes me happy :)

Blue light effect: First I painted the carapace as normal, but avoided placing any red where the light was going to be. Then I simply drybrushed the lit area, first with purple, then dark blue, then lighter and lighter as I got closer to the light source. Finally i put a few thin layers of white at the source itself. The eyes where the same, but with green instead of purple and blue, and a little yellow before the white.

And now for something completely different. A little birthday present diorama, based on the cover of an old Swedish children's book.

Original, drawn by Veronica Leo (sorry for the tiny pic, there are not a lot of scans online and this is the best I found):

And on another note, I'm slowly getting back the urge to work on my town diorama. I've begun watching The Borgias on Netflix to get in the mood again. Can't say exactly when I'll resume the build, there's a model on my workbench that I'm doing some blending practice on and I think I'll finish that first, but yeah… soon ;)
