Daemonette captive?

Hey all.

I want my my sorcerous vampire character to be particularly arrogant, and distainful of Chaos as it has a lesser impact on his 'race' than others.

I was thinking one way to show this would be to have a captive Daemonette on his base, as a slave. Slightly bad taste, but thats the feel I want for this paticular vampire.

Thing is, i'm unsure about the mechanics of Chaos, and what I do know is mostly 40k based.

Would it be possible to bind a Daemonette to oneself as a paticularly powerful sorcerer? Or would they inevitably be sucked back into the warp?

Since she's just for visual effect, I don't see any reason why you couldn't bind a demon. If it had an impact on play, that might be different. and how is it bad taste? It,s a VAMPIRE!

Heh. I'm talking more from a fluff perspective. I like my stories (at least in so far as the 'laws' of the Old World and Warp go) to line up as closely as possible with the 'canon'. Otherwise i'd just build a Mantic army and make up my own story completely. The endless Black Library books and such are a big part of the hobby for me.

Has it ever been done, does anyone know? Is it even technically possible? From what little I know, daemons can only manifest for a certain amount of time outside the warp.

Couldnt you use some kind of talisman or ring to bind them fluff-wise? I think that is how they do it... We're only talking about a lesser deamon spirit here, not like a Bloodthrister :devil2:

i am replacing my butt-ugly bats with deamonette models turned into harpies myself. They eat the eyes out of victums otherwise the Medusae would turn them to stone.

Well, since you can bind daemons to your side in SoM I can't see why it wouldn't work. Daemons are essentially magic so a powerful sorcerer should have no trouble to summon a few a pets erv:

Powerful sorcerers can conjure daemons from the Realm of Chaos. Summoned daemons can't sustain their physical forms for very long but if there is enough power pumping into them this can be prolonged. I second however that some sort of talisman could do it. Valkia bound Locephax (with Khorne's help but Khorne followers would definitely need help in the magic department) the greater Slanneshi daemon to her shield. I think a very reasonable explanation would be that your Vamp created an awesome talisman/trinket thing that traps the daemonette inside (so she can't return to the realm of chaos) but he can make her physically manifest from it.
