Maybe do the 7 DW with a doom wolf and challenge him? He'll be stuck there long enough to get away or something to deal with him

Vipoid said:I'm not sure I see this as being much better. In fact, I think I'd still favour the SGK - at least that get rerolls.
Vipoid said:Again though, even if your optimistic assertions (which don't include the breath weapon) are correct ...
Vipoid said:This is the problem - your tactic seems to rely on the DP player being an idiot, and not seeing through such an obvious ploy.
Ether Dude said:Correct me if I'm wrong, but asf will always get a reroll vs als, correct? If not, the the nightshroud isn't that big a deal and you can swap it out for 40 points of gear.
Ether Dude said:It's not an optimistic asserition. The DP has 5 attacks. It stomps for 6, so it kills a maximum of 11 zombies. Assume 4 CR for the lil guys and you're losing 18 total. Not sure what's optimistic about a DP rolling perfectly.
Ether Dude said:No, it relies on contingency plans and me being a better player. It is essential that you don't give the DP any good charges. It's not even that hard to pull off, especially with an army where you can guarantee that things won't run away. What you're doing is leaving no good options, aside from stand on the sidelines and throw purple suns around.
Ether Dude said:If he wants the mage bunker, split up the mages, or just move them 1" behind your ghoul/crypthorror horde. Or, guess what your bait is going to be?
Ether Dude said:I can't seem to convince you to do anything but roll over, and you seem bound and determined to do just that.
Ether Dude said:The above is what I have and will be trying out. You all might be right and I might need serious revisions to make it work. If that's the case I'll eat my words and try to find another way, but f*** me if I'm going to moan about the end of warhammer and go play demons to make myself feel better.
aussie said:lol how about fencer blades on a strigoi, your hitting the dp with 3's reroll.
Adam_Barrow said:It's his wings that concern me. A Tbat can fly circles around Crushers and scream to her heart's content, but a smart player using a Prince is going to position his forward arc to keep the TG in harm's way every time. An 8 inch scream is counting on at least getting beside the Prince to be in the flank arc for no charge. That seems like it's going to be difficult to pull off without slamming into him with another unit first--or more likely, trying to trick the Prince into charging into something first. But what's a juicier target for the Prince than the Tbat? Pretty much only a Vampire Lord, and that seems like a scary gambit.

Johnny-Crass said:Gutter runners for drogres wheels for everything else. Stubbornness of chaos dwarves
Swaiper said:And how is a Daemon Prince not following the rules for Daemons anyway? He should be Unstable like the rest of em dammit! Is he form a "special" daemonic dimension?
Swaiper said:On another note... WoC can get MoN and Glittering Scales on any of their characters no? I mean this opens up for a whole lot of shit :S talk about that BSB... not to mention normal Lords :S. I mean hitting something on 5s at best with 4+ ward and 1+ AS... are we forced to take Fencers and Pot of Strength if we want to compete with WoC Lords at all now?
