Quick question for you all- can a model with one of the above abilities use it as a stand and shoot reaction?

No Undead unit can make a charge reaction that isn't 'Hold' so no, stand and shoot isn't allowed. Neither the banshee or the terrorgheist make any exception to the rule.

Another side note is that those attacks are not shooting attacks! They are special attacks that take place in the shooting phase. So EVEN if we could S&S, which undead can't as MS stated, those units couldn't do a S&S.

Funny thing is yesterday I was watching a youtube battle report that a guy was testing his army for a tourney and in the game he had a TG and he wanted to scream at a enemy character that was outside a unit but within 3" of another infantry unit. He didn't cause he said he didn't want to chance the character making his LoS roll. That got me thinking that was wrong as LoS is just for shooting attacks of any kind. Double checked the BrB and was right. So scream away at lone characters with NO LoS for them....

Thanks guys- finally cleared that up for me... That we can scream into combat kinda makes up for this I think
