I'd think that models you get as gifts should count; they are yours and you probably asked for them.

Whereas, models you buy as a gift for someone else shouldn't count, since you have no control over them getting painted.. they aren't yours.

I'd split if they count or not. If you asked for them, then they would count and if not then they wouldn't.

I have some friends who tend to give me minis because they want what they represent to show up in RPG adventures and an aunt who knows I play minis games but never remembers what armies or games I play and ends up getting me the oddest mix of minis

I guess I'll add the gifts into my total then...add 2 to the unpainted total (zombie dragon and razorwing jet fighter). I'm pretty sure the total will be higher by the end of next week.

*after all the Christmas gifts, I'm now at 0 painted and 28 unpainted.*

Had to do a quick edit, just got allot of painting done I was trying to avoid totaling the Blood Angels Sanguinor and 25 Skellies.

I like the sound of the pledge as it is probably the only flaw with wargaming. I can't stand playing games with un painted miniatures. So normally i do get round to paint most of my models. But for those few that never seem to start painting i will never use, so here's my chance to start fresh.

I have
5000 points of beastmen (only ghorgon, x2 minoaturs and x10 gors to paint)
4000 points of Tomb Kings (only Apophas and a chariot to paint)
2000 points Vampire Counts (All painted )
1000 points Wood Elves (only half painted)
1000 points High Elves (only half painted)
1000 points Dark Elves (only x1 spearman painted, lol okay this isn't a good example)

The High and Wood Elves are for the Double tournament in May at Warhammer world. However i am intending to sell everything and start from scratch with a new VC army. So that will be the perfect time to stick to the pledge.

I just pre-ordered Krell and Isabella from GW website (included in the score), and got some stuff on eBay this week. But to my defense, I've started to paint back a bit, but I'm doing my Mighty Empire set. Can I count each tile as 1 mini? Nearly done with 1 side on each and most base colors on the other side, so while it's going slowly, it's advancing!
