Ok its been a while.
I have painted 3 empire characters, 10 Iron Side, 3 Demi Gryphs, 10 Manans Blades, a cannon and crew and another hellblaster.

I have since bought Karl Franz on Gryphon, a War alter, 10 space wolves wolves for dire wolves and 2 general box sets.

I only started my Vampire Counts army recently so I'll sign up now.

I really feel I should paint more before I buy anymore!

Oh and how do we count models? E.G. there are three models on the spirits host base, is that one model or three? I'm counting bases I guess!

I reserve the right to buy more though, as I still don't have enough for a working army!

Painted: 0
Based: 0 (I will be eventually re-basing all my models onto resin bases. As money allows!)
Purchased: 64 (not counting models purchased for conversions)

I'm a bit behind... But I only have 12 different (old range) citadel paints and one black wash! Hard to get anything done!

Oh the paints were for my Tau and the figure above only include my VC army. I'm not adding to my Tau at the moment or even playing with them! :(

That is just for Vampires as I bought a whole army.

310 Mantic zombies alone

If we count orks, I am sitting on 1200+ I think I fail.

Stupidly, I did. I found an ebay deal that BNIB for a whole army. Hadn't been touched. Ended up paying $400 for over $1200 + worth of Vampires.

I'm updating because I've gotten literally TWO models painted, although my "to do" list keeps growing by leaps and bounds. I've decided to be really literal with this, and not buy anything else until I've painted my entire collection so far, which includes:

Warhammer Quest ("90+" figures)
Two copies of BattleMasters ("more than" 100 figures apiece)
HeroQuest
Kellar's Keep HeroQuest Expansion
Return of the Witch Lord HeroQuest Expansion

Plus about 9 black knights from various iterations/box sets and roughly 40 zombies. So until I can get a more accurate count, let's say about 449 figures?

And this week I painted one ogre from BattleMasters, and a black knight.

So... two down, 447 to go. Lord of Paintbrushes, help me!

I feel you're pain mate.

Been gearing up for 40k and only painted 5 Hex Wraiths....

Bought 11 Legion of the Damned, 16 Marines, 2 HQ being Dante and Astorath, 10 Devastators, 3 Varghiests, 1 Skin Wolf.
On top of this I am getting more gear on Friday.

Painted: 142
Purchased: 124

Had a moment of weakness and bought some bits, and 3 wraiths off eBay. At least this thread will help give me a good idea of exactly HOW FAST I'm burying myself in unpainted models, lol.

Ah well.

450 bought.
2 painted.

Well, I just remembered this thread..

My purchases this year (all still NiB):
5 Hellions
1 Lilith
2 Dark Eldar Lords (one will be a converted vampire model, eventually)

(acquired in trades)
10 Executioners (NiB)
5 Fell bats (bare metal)
2 Necromancers (bare metal)
2 Vampires (bare metal)

Completed/painted this year:
10 Fire Dragons
7 Questing Knights

27/17... not too bad I guess...

Painted: 145
Purchased: 160

Bought a load more marines, a few dreads and some tasty bits and pieces and at the same time though Just finished Vlad, Almost Isabella and Dante is over half done so including them.
So that was the Masters of the Chapter Box Set (4), GK HQ choice and 5 marines, 5 Sanguinary Guard, Tycho Convert, 5 Tauro's Pattern Terminators, 2 Contemptors and a Captain.

Also just paid for the limited edition starter set today as well, not out till tomorrow but I gave the store manager the money to order it as I am in work Saturday. :(

Think I am starting to lose track a little of my comings and goings, I know I have 15 marines to get legs for though I won't include till I have a full model for each. (Only Fair Right?) :innocent:

Only just seen this, it's a bit late to start this year!

BUT I've been keeping a count of what I've painted since I started my Beastman army in early 2010. Depending on what you count as one model* I have completed 882 since then! So now my aim is to make it the round 1000 before January 1st 2013...

A friend of mine who is trying to get control of his hobbying is now trying to assemble, paint and pack away EVERY model as he buys it, which I think is quite impressive.

I'm not trying that - I'm already stock piling new VC models, most of which will stay in their packets until Christmas at this rate!

* currently my counting system is everything counts as one (even say a chariot with crew etc) except for unit fillers, which count as as many minis as they replace. I'm considering replacing this with counting every mini on a model (so a tuskgor chariot counts as 2 crew, 2 tuskgors and a chariot for a score of FIVE) and unit fillers count as just ONE or as the number of models stood on them. But to do that I have to actually eyeball every model as I count...

So I was drunk last night and apparently drunken me would rather spend three hundred dollars on Forge World stuff rather than pay the rent. Given my deep and abiding love for HeroQuest I can understand the fimir warriors. Let's face it, I was gonna buy those eventually anyway. The skaven wolf rats are apparently gonna find their way into my dire wolves packs. So that makes it

8 bought
1 painted

so far this year. I also picked up Tamurkhan and the Monstrous Arcanum... being a collector of Warhammer books those were a natural. Can't really call them an impulse buy since I've had my eyes on all this stuff for a while. Oh well. Here's the ONE model I've finished so far this year... the guy on the right is the new one, but I was trying to recreate the paintjob on the original from twenty-plus years ago, minus the weird skin tone.

If we're counting my entire COLLECTION, which I really should be if I'm honest with myself, it's more like

458 bought
3 painted

Nagash help me.
