Erm...guys? Can we get back to Diablo? XD
DD - not everyone loves Blizzard, you have strong opinions about it which are absolutely fine, just please if you are going to state them, put them into a format that is not offensive to others, I have strong feelings against WoW but I respect that others here enjoy it and so I try to formulate my arguments logically and hopefully non-offensively.
Back on topic, I have got the game, played it a bit and here is my review:
First things first: The game had a few installation and first run problems, requiring me to turn off some Microsoft features etc. to get it to work, though now it runs fine.
Cons (let's get the bad stuff out of the way first): The greatest grievance is that the story is flat flat flat. It is hard to relate to a character, the missions link together in really obvious and unprofessional ways (for example, you need to find a sword and it just so happens that your companion has the key to the gate etc.).
Story wise it does not even begin to compare to games like the Witcher, Gothic, TES or even Risen. Also, you HAVE to be connected to the internet to play it which is annoying, especially living in a rural area. The price tag is also very high, I can buy Skyrim with all DLCs for half the price and we all know which is the better game.
That said there is not much more wrong with it, at least for a person who has not played the other Diablo titles.
Pros: Gameplay is good, the controls work fine and it is an easy system to use and game with. The animations are big, bright and of high quality, making gaming more EPIC. The levelling system definitely makes the game fun and has the "just one more level" factor which is exactly what I need right now. All in all fun, fast paced and decent game.
Overall- I give it a 7/10. The story has a long way to go to be good, the price is quite bad however I can see myself playing it for at least a few more months and the game really picks up when playing with friends.
There you go, thoughts, ideas, criticism?
