I've watched to the end of Season 4 (I think)...

Just checked Wikipedia... and it looks like I've got 3-4 specials to watch in order to "catch up"

I watched it and I have to say I was a little disappointed, the first part had so much potential and the second part felt rushed and uncoordinated.. and the bittersweet ending was the worst bit.

The new guy seemed... meh o_o

Thought the first part was good but I agree with knightofni, part 2 seemed rushed and not thougght out properly. The bit where the Time Lords were sent back to the time war was over before it began, and what happened to the Master? Did he just go back with them. My head hurts :(

It was obvious by the ending of the second part who he was going to see last.

Some parts which did not make sense:

Donna - She was supposed to die if she ever remembered. She remembered. She didn't die.

Time Lords - It felt rushed, and seemed to just fill a gap. And who was that women?

The Doctors death - Did he die?

There are other parts, but I have a headache, so that's all I can be bothered to type :)

I watched it and liked it. The confidential afterwards explained more. There was something about the woman but my daughter was hanging off my neck so I didnt hear it.

I do agree, part 1 was awesome. And when you saw Timothy Dalton rousing the time lords I thought the battle would be epic. Not a few people standing there on a white screen waiting for something to happen. Oh and nice glove Tim.

The master was thrown into the time war with the rest of them. They showed a better shot (in fact they showed a few better shots) in the documentary afterwards that showed it happening clearly.

The Doctor didnt die, but Russel T Davies and the whole production crew have been replaced along with David Tennant so they wanted to convey that changing his face was also changing who he was. So in essence Tennant died.

Donna had a failsafe put inside her by the doctor (ooer) that if she tried to remember she would black out and apparently take down any Sim clones in the process! but I think if she saw him and he told her she would bite the bullett.

I'm pretty sure the woman was his mother.

As for the whole will he die thing; that was the most annoying part of it. they made such a big fuss about it being the end of the doctor then he just regenarated. I think they did that because Tennant has been so popular therfore they wanted to make it a slightly more hyped-up/nostalgic last episode.

And she didn't remember in the end - the failsafe thingy went off and knocked her out, when she woke up it was all over.

I only started watching Dr Who recently, and I've gone on a bit of a Who binge :P I watched all the specials and christmas episodes, which I actually really liked :) Was the end one the bit with all the evil space balls and the Master? I'm not saying how it ends! It was a bit meh indeed though, generally Dr who ends with another 10 mins screen time with which to fill with happy make up everyone is alright scenes. Tennent really fits the part nicely ;)

Who was the doctor before him? I liked him too

That was the Toclafane, and not the last episode with David ;)

The last episodes with David where last year, with the Master again.

Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor before David.
