Doesn't say anything about the Frostheart's Blizzard Aura..
If you have 2 of them on a unit, is it -2S (to a min of 1)?

Exact quote:
"Any enemy unit in base contact with a Frostheart Phoenix has the ASL special rule and suffers a -1 to its Strength (to min of 1)."

"With A" implies more than one
"With the" would imply that each one is seperate

Cool, is there a BRB reference or similar creature where this has come up before?

Why couldn't they just say "one or more" like they do in other situations? Such as Bat Swarms' Cloud of Horror.

Furthermore, the -1S is more similar to hexes than a Special Rule, and we all know those stack.

Why couldn't GW make clearer rules...

I.. don't even. They don't have a unified and clear glossary of terms or writing; They don't put in a terribly large effort to make their terms very solid, or clear, for instance "Unmodified Leadership" which just recently changed with the recent FAQ even.

But I agree they don't stack, for the same reasons JC sited. Although I wouldn't be shocked if GW FAQ'd it to be the opposite (Would you buy two if they did stack vs they don't?).

That's a problem because I already have 2..

Say you have Quickblood and I have 2x Phoenix next to your Lord. You're obviously NOT striking last because there's 2 ASLs in there. That's considered a special rule. However, is the -1 considered a special rule like ASF/ASL is?

Stupid GW and their crappy rules..

I dunno. To me "with a" leaves the door open for stacking. Like stated earlier, they have been using language like "with one or more" which specifically denies stacking.
To me, "with the" refers to the unit entry as a whole whereas "with a" refers to a specific model.

We've come to a level of dissection that neighbors madness. Thanks, little army men.

Well I don't know how you planned on obtaining the gift of Undeath, but madness was always my choice path!

Personally i think it stacks.
The example i would use is our own bloodline aura.

In the pheonix rules it doesnt say one or more. Our ability does.

So of they intended it not to stack surely it would be written like ours. But then again this is gw we talking about here

Oh hell no! I play high elves and would never argue it was cumlative. Come on Hero!
