Here's the 'finished' Cronos Parasite!

I had to edit the photos a lot this time, so the colors might look a bit off or bland.

Magnetized to the base actually. Meaning easy to use as there is no specific base apart from being of the right size. A bit front heavy, but is countered by, in this case, a wire.

There is this antenna/blade that broke off of the left hip, but it'll be pinned back into place.

Also that hole at the back. What to do, what do to....? erv:
It is meant to be the placement for the vortex, which I thought better of putting at the chest. Really, how should I cover it up?

Very soon my Talos may be finished!

Looking back onto my Talos I can really see that there is something disturbing and menacing about it.. Great figure indeed!


The past few days I've been modelling some new stuff for my DE! Two Venoms actually.
I've always thought the 40k vehicles are not scaled along with the models that comes along with the army, especially in the case of transports. When working the venoms I found that DE vehicles are truly proportioned to the rest of the figures. Let us have a look

Dark Eldar Venom

There is so often you see a Venom zooming around with it's lone gunner and is said to hold another five Kabalite Trueborns with big guns creating mayhem. Looks kind of poorly animated. Yes, imagination is great and awesome but now it'll be so much easier seeing these evil, jacked murderers in all their craziness (evil looking guns, faces and blades) this way.

This Venom is made and will be painted to accommodate Trueborns in particular. I figure that is the way I'd play them (and it looks AWESOME!!).

So there is a capacity of 5 in a Venom and has a pilot, a gunner and two guns. In this case I glued two onto the underside, looking badass (I seriously couldn't be arsed to magnetize!).
And so the fifth guy in the Trueborn unit is the original gunner of the Venom. A fan-freaking-tastic idea if I may say so myself

The left- and rightmost of them have right and left foot magnetized respectively. The other two are simply put on and hold in place by the rest.

There could "easily" be fitted a fifth guy on the left side to stay true to the five Trueborn and two crew of the Venom. This signifies that DE vehicles are proportionate to the rest of their range. You gotta love these models!

Next up isn't as complicated... yet...

Some conversion work. The underside gun glued in place further forward along with a steering blade from the Raider kit.

This one is planned to be used as a transport for a small unit of Bloodbrides or _maybe_ future Incubi. Therefore it'll probably be kitted with more skulls and cool evil bits.

I'm trying to figure what the right guy without arm is to be armed with (first pic). At the moment I'm thinking of blasters all the way or just a randomly selected and play as whatever.
I'm almost more excited than I ever was over my pain engines!

What of my DE is your fave? I am very much into the Trueborn Venom right now!

The painting on the Talos and Cronos is very good. I also like the Venom. I'd like to see it in colour
