End Times undead releases repackaged on rounds

  • The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Up for preorder today:

Nagash on a 130mm circular base, same as the onagar dunecraler in 40k

Mortarch kit on 120 by 92mm oval base, same as most fliers in 40k.

Morghasts on 60mm circular bases, same as dreadnoughts in 40k. Probably not the bases I would have chosrn for them.

Spirit hosts on 50mm circular bases. I admit i don't know what else comes on that size base. They're bigger than terminator bases, and smaller than dreadnought bases.

The preorders are only up on the uk page at time of posting, and i'm used to us pricing, so i dont know if prices have changed at all.

I have most of these models, and won't be rebasing any of them (well, maybe Arkhan), but if we're getting repacks, that might indicate we have a campaign book or battletome on the way. Or it might just be to coincide with the completion of the search for nagash audio drama, the last part of which is also up for pre-order. We'll see.

Most likely it's just rebranding for AoS, since they currently have End Times packaging.

I'm reasonably sure the price is the same.

@Menkeroth could you give some details on events in the battletome please?
Sure :)
It's a bit annoying if lots of our new fluff is spread over various books.
I wouldn't say it's spread that much, but... What I know is following - general some details in "Mighty battles in an age of unending war" (Nagash made it to the new world, ready and rarin', commands all the underworlds and Shyish itself, waged war against Chaos and lost it, but he is not fully defeated yet), "Prisoner of the Black Sun" dramas (the last is in the preorder) (here Sigmar is seeking his aid against Chaos again, Shyish is in disarray, Archaon split the heart of Nagash in two and crushed his forces, and chaos warbands are constantly roaming its lands), and for certain (can't say for battletomes of Stomrcasts and Bloodbound) in the "battletome: Everchosen", where Archaon battles different foes like the Spider Empire in Ghur and Nagash in Shyish, but I don't know everything yet, though I have the book. Most details should be in the book of undead when it comes someday, and I've noticed that mostly all events are the same, just from different perspectives. Like that.

The audio dramas are pretty good, if a bit repetitive. They review so much in each one that only the last one is really needed if your pocket book is running low. Otherwise they give good atmosphere to the realm of death.
Regarding the bases. I have Neferata and Nagash already on squares and I'm OK with that. She's attached with a magnet in case I want to field one of the other two Mortarcs.

While I don't have the money for them myself, I do have a friend who's been picking up the audio dramas and let me listen to them. I'll have to check to see if and when he's getting the last one.

I remain super envious of chaos's battle tomes, and hope Undead get some AoS attention soon, even if it is just books covering existing models.

I really wish that AoS's attention had been a bit more spread out from the start. I know GW like to do their 'one faction at a time' thing, but AoS was a new game, and really needed a broader perspective for its opening push. The recent 'new army' boxes are great products, the sort of thing that really should have been out on day one.

I have. It is very good because you get two recognisable faces plus some degree of resolution.
As I've thought, thanks for confirmation! They really tried to make their best and I enjoyed all the dramas so far. So it's worth listening to the last one.

I hope too. And i'm sure it will be good at least, I think GW does not wish to be in a hurry in order to make everything right. And rightly so, if this is the case.

True - Sigmarites and knornates are great to be sure, but it took GW a great deal of time to start releasing other factions, for I too don't need this guys - I am neither fan of Sigmar nor I like crazed khornates (I prefer Tzeentch in every meaning). Fyreslayers quite rock, though they are also not to everybody's tastes, but I am certain our undead legions will be great.

Yeah. By this point I'm so sick of Stormcast and Chaos. But I won't complain too much as undead have gotten a lot more love than some others (elfs, ogres, empire/Bretts)
