Ok I am still working on my Empire on the side.
(Hundreds of VC still to do but it helps to break it up so I don't go insane)

So I am trying to make a Female Bright Wizard Model.
I am running dry on ideas however off what to make it off of.

I Can Green stuff but I want to keep it to a minimum as I take a long time to do it, I am OCD and a project can take me 4 months easy so trying to have a straight build and some GS as needed.

Now it also has to be GW models, I play in a GW store and hobby club as well as tournaments, anything that is not won't fly.

Now the wizard itself must have a chest and be obviously female but with bare arms, and a robe of sorts.
The rob must have keys on the belt so I will swipe them off a WK or the Corpse master from the Mortis Engine.

So I need legs, Arms and torso, Demonet is the closest but I don't want to have to try and make a set of perfect boobs.

So far the Dark Elf Sorceress is the closest but I will have to make her allot of clothing, legs doable but torso will be a pain.
SO I want to see what others thoughts are.

Also just so you know what I am aiming for I have a image of my rough guide:

This Bretonnian damsel on foot? Just switch the staff top for something more firey. And its a nice model.

Start with the Empire Flagellant body.... the one with the Flaming foot ;)

empire_flagellants_torso_2_large.jpg

Cut it at the waist.... replace the chest with the female Wood elf glade guard torso:

Use the Dark Elf Black dragon Sorceress Head... the one with the long hair covering those elven ears....

ai.ebayimg.com_t_WARHAMMER_BITS_DARK_ELF_BLACK_DRAGON_SORCERES65851699ea198b7342d8c02fc2f02d2e.webp

Use any of the dark elf sorceress arms available with a staff.... add those keys you mention from the Corpse Master and you should be close to what you want. Hope I could help. :)

I am trying to avoid Flagellant because they are to bulks for a female build, I already checked with the ones I have.
Torso does the job but thats it, it does not look good or can be made to do so, just functionality which would be a disappointment for a center piece model.

Head wise it is ok but I still think there is better to be had than that.
The head on the right is the closest of the 2 as well as I can get a flame effect on that with enough green stuff but the high cheek bones and eyes set it far apart.

I had thought to suggest the Dark Elf Black Dragon Sorceress upper body but it seemed a bit "under-clothed" to work.... (Sigh.... the Dark Elves.... so sexy but usually sooooo darn slutty... :) )

Hmmmm.... Maybe one of the upper torsos from the Coven Throne ladies? Change out the arms and you might have something.

Possibly put it atop the legs of the old metal wood elf sorceress? That might work.

Remember... it's still "GW Legal" if the model is 50%+ GW and/or conversion...

Here's a picture of my Slaanesh wizard from my WoC army
ai192.photobucket.com_albums_z162_brahmtazoul_wizards_1.webp

He's a Confrontation sculpt; I hacked his hands and head off, put a ghoul's head on, kept it in place with a beautiful mane of blonde hair spilling down his back, and then plastered him with bits from the undead sprues. He's been in several GW tournaments.

Conversion is the key; start looking outside the GW-box...

I know it is but my store manager says 100%, he is a bit of a Nazi.

Well I think I may of settled on the legs from the Dark Elf Plastic Sorceress, I can make more material for the bottom without to much of an issue.

The upper body though I have still got nothing coming to mind.

Hmmmmm. Seems odd. Which is funny, because what if a store manager decided that he didn't like the random charge distance rule they made in 8th? Does that mean he's allowed to go against what GW says & do what he wants?

Just curious...

I'd say to have a look through the wood elf range and see if anything appeals-they've got about the right amount of clothing, without too much armour plate.

Actually.... I had another bit of a thought on this.... (Amazing the goofy things that pop outta this girl's head at 2 in the morning.... ;))

What if your sorceress is rising up out of her base, her lower body nothing more than a pillar of flame? Something like the "Human Torch" from the "Fantastic 4"?

But.... don't even try to have legs at all.... replace the entire lower body below the waist with a greenstuff "pillar of flame" bursting out of the ground.... could look smashing with the right female upper body and "wizardy" bits.....

Looking something like this I would imagine.... (But more living and less undead.... )... I think she'd be sooooo wicked and cool!!

He swears it is 100% GW but he is a bit of a pain.
If you can find an official GW ruling somewhere on their site I will love you forever.

Anyway this Wizard now is also going to be a vampire, just so I can run her in my Vampire Army as a Fire Lore user as well.
So it will be switched between the 2 armies as needed.

Going to have a look on bits box and try my luck, also horde of bits on ebay or the troll trader maybe.
Wish me luck.

Here's an excerpt from the Warhammer Forum in regards to what is and is not legal in Warhammer World. Sorry, it's all I could come up with upon short notice, and my head is ever so longing for my pillow!
1. All Games Workshop games can be played in the hall using Games Workshop miniatures.

2. Conversions and scratch built models are fine. Please bear in mind the following guidelines:

a. Models should predominantly be made up of Games Workshop models; additional parts using other companies models are fine.

b. If GW haven’t produced models for a unit yet, and there are no clear alternatives for converting them, using other companies models are fine. A good example of this are Tyranid mycetic spores. They have seen several people use toy alien eggs to represent this, which is fine as it does fit the theme of the army, and they realize that only an expert modeler could produce something from scratch.

c. Please ask a member of the events & activities team if you’re not sure.

d. There is no problem using counts as models when trying out new units before deciding whether they will be a permanent addition to your army.

Just to clarify, GW are looking to make sure that any gaming that takes place in Warhammer World, at any time, showcases the Games Workshop hobby, but GW don’t want to restrict creativity. Someone fielding a unique imperial guard army using alternative heads from another company is fine. Someone using another companies models to represent a unit, because they are cheaper, or they happen to have the models, is not acceptable.

Cheers,
Brahm

Cheers for the suggestion but I like the idea of the model having more sex appeal through the use of legs. ;)

Cheers for the link mate but unless I can get it from the GW site or a info pack from GW its not going to fly.
He is that much of a git.
I have to lie to him and say a sword a model is using was made not taken from something else even though the model is made off a GW one and is 90% greenstuff.

Quote:
If GW produces the appropriate model/s they must be used regardless of your aesthetic opinion. The exception to this is using scratch built or converted models as this is seen as an integral part of the hobby but they must not contain parts from other game manufacturers.

Darn.... and I thought the "flamey look" would knock your socks off.... ;)

Well... a bit more looking around brought me to the plastic Tomb Banshee. Her upper torso looks good with a spell casting arm already in place... the left can be a dark elf sorceress staff arm I'm thinking.

You can cut her at the waist and join her to some legs.... I still think the old metal wood elf sorceress might work there. Much more classy looking than the "beach bunny bikini" on the dark elf sorceress....

Hahaha!! Can't tell you how much fun this is "spitballing' all these ideas.... Maybe this sort of thing would make a neat "Monthly Challenge". A kit bash conversion of Characters currently not represented by an official model but still GW legal.

Anyway.... like idea of the brazier cowl. Might be possible with really small strip styrene and some patience to get it juuuust right.

Ahhhhh.... and here's another notion... what about the flaming head skull hand from the Empire Wizard sprue? On a good female torso... like any of the ones we've thought of... it would give the illusion of "Ghost Rider" with his flaming head, the flames being a woman's long flowing firey hair.

empire_wizard_flaming_skull_1_large.jpg

Could be good especially if this one now needs to do double duty as a vampiress too. The flames could be done in a spooky alternate bright color of flame too.... looking sort of spectral or Bright Magic caused.
