Finecast Charect rs

i normally stay away from fine cast, but realise this is going to be nigh immpossible with my new VC army.

I haves stayed away from fine cast because of the horror stories you hear. Although recently I seem to hear less and less.

Question is how has the quality been with VC characters recently? They a store only so longer to get replacements if the quality is poor, so wonder what the VC community thoughts are

I've moved this thread from the 40k modelling section to the fantasy one. Also, this is probably the best army to find alternative character models for, assuming that you're allowed to play with things that aren't made by GW. There are tons of good vampire and necromancer models out there.

Fine cast has always been great for me. It's a sharper cast than metal, it just requires a gentler touch and extra consideration.

I think. May finally take the plunge. I've used other manufactures resin models so think I may finally try them out

I've been avoiding finecast as much as possible, but the few things I have of it have been OK. I've heard too many horror stories about it to recommend it with a straight face though.

To be honest some things are good in fine cast, the main issue seems to be with faces and weapons which I always check before leaving store.
It is being phased out however so it should no longer be an issue for long.

So personally I recommend it only in characters that you can check whilst you buy them in store, they are 100% not mail order for me.
