Firefly was cancelled nine years ago!?! Jebus, I went and got old.

If you think that's old, I keep wanting Space: Above & Beyond to come back.

Fox messed with both it and Firefly in how they aired it that added to the mayhem. Put any show in a slot where you keep pre-empting it with other stuff and don't bother to reschedule the episodes to keep them in order and you will have issues with keeping an audience.

I still haven't seen Serenity, but I own the series on DvD.

The concept of the series has made me keep wanting to run an RP in a setting based off of it.

I have never seen Firefly, after hearing this though I may have to see if I can get hold of it.

As for Buffy, I am actually in the process of re-watching it from start to finish. Sure some of the older episodes made me cringe at points from cheese, but then there have been some great parts as well. I certainly would not call it badly acted, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

That reminds me, need to get hold of the Angel series, just for that one episode where Spike is taking the piss out of Angel at the start....

I would happily join you in said RP SotF, the movie is good, even if you havent seen the tv series, if you have (which i didnt) its even better, so says my dad

I wanted to see it, just that the entire time it was in theaters, I didn't have any free time. I have enough trouble when there's a problem at work because I end up being the errand boy for people with no clue what I'm supposed to do when my direct boss doesn't have anything for me.

And with the RP, I was thinking about more of a straight up PnP one using the setting as a basis. I've got a copy of the official RPG somewhere and didn't really find it as a system I'd want to handle working out the rules for. Whenever Crafty get's Farthest Star out, I'm going to be fully set.

Though I've had a habit of doing that sort of thing anyway, buying the official stuff for source material and background while using the rules from other things. Hell, I'd run Farscape using the Spycraft 1.0 and Stargate rules.

But thinking of everything that Fox has killed through either malice or stupidity annoys me.
