First completed VC figs: Varghulf and Fell Bats

[captain krak]

I just started playing WH Fantasy, and while I only have 2 games under my belt, I'm having a blast. Collecting, building, and painting are half the fun of minis games for me, so here are some pics of my first finished VC models. Comments and criticism welcome:

[Skorne]

Really like your Varghulf models, well done! How long have you been painting if I may ask?
Not a fan of the fell bat models, but you have done nice work on them.

[captain krak]

Thanks much! I've been painting for a couple of years now. I started out with figs for D&D and Warhammer Ancients, then some 40K, and now Warhammer Fantasy. I must say, Fantasy figs are WAAAY more fun to paint than Space Marines.

[Fallen Angel]

Very nice work indeed! I really like the fell bats!

[Trevy the Great]

Whoa, those are great! I like the glowing eyes a lot on those models.

[ironlord]

great work
its a really solid colour and strangely for an undead monster it looks realistic...

keep up the good work
do you have a painting log of your army?

[Devo]

I like the realism a lot, myself.

But is that a green glow coming out from their red eyes?

[Dz'arkoth]

Love the Varghulf man. Really really nice paint job. The base on it is really cool, gives it a almost desert feel to it.
I agree with you, fantasy painting is far more fun than 40k painting - you get to use devlan mud more

[ghostbuilder]

Love the Varghulf and fell bats. Wish mine were as good.

[Hammerthorn]

Duuuuude. They're badass man.

What did you use for the green around the eyes?

I am no fan of the Varghulf model, but you've done it well!

[The Dark Lord Mr Fluffy]

Oooooh, sweeeeet! They look scary, right out of a nightmare job. And that green under tone around their eyes. Just sets it off! Beautiful fur, although the muscles on the back could do with a splash of purple ink, make 'em look more... fresh

[aapjeBOB0]

that green glow a round the eyes of those varghullfs is very subtle and works very good. Lovely paint job on your first VC minis. I look forward to see more of your work

[doombunny666]

nice even the fell pig bats which i hate the models of are really nice

note:you spent ages doing that right???

[countgabriel]

great painting. superb. don't much like the fellbat miniatures.

[Great Maw]

Wow. Very impressive. Not to sound like a broken record, but I too am not a huge fan of the fellbat models, but you make them look awesome.

That Varghulf is badass man!
