As of now...I have 20 Skeletons, 40 Zombies, and a Corpse Cart. I plan on buying this army over the year, paint it up, and be ready to play for next summer. I don't have a whole lot of time to put it all together now, so I want to piece it together over the year.

My main opponents are going to be High Elves, Wood Elves, Empire, Orcs, and Ogre Kingdoms...

My plan on deployment would be

Skel____Skel w/CC+Vamp____CGw/Lord____Skel

with the Varghulf and Wraiths on one flank...and try to use the dire wolves to screen them. I hope to raise my units of 15 Skel Warriors to at least 25 each by the time I hit my opponent. I'm planning on taking Lore of Death and hoping to effectively cast Doom and Darkness mixed with the Rod to try to disrupt my opponent's battle line, or just focus on raising skeletons. The other vampire, I'm hoping to cast raise dead to get some zombies behind enemy lines or protecting my flanks. The Necro I plan on trying to boost up my movement. Also with each skeleton unit having a banner, I figure each one will ensure an extra +1 CR bringing their total to...hopefully...+5/6 static CR.

My army seems weak to me, but I really have no idea.

I would really like to have another vampire or a wight king, but can't really see a way to fit them in.

Any advice and criticism would be highly appreciated. Also keep in mind I could really switch my troops completely around as I have yet to buy most of them, but the list seems like it would put up a fight against my opponents.

Although I hope no one is against the wraiths as I am kind of excited to see them tear through some elves and they look wicked!

I'd try and fit in another two grave guard so that you get the CR bonus for an additional rank. Wraiths I love, and I'd always take the banshee upgrade - the scream is fantastic. To be honest, I've started fielding a banshee and three wraiths, together with an ethereal vampire (spectral form) - it gives me unit strength 5 which, given that the unit skirmishes, I can almost always bring to bear on the flanks or rear of an enemy unit to destroy its rank bonus and boost my CR. With the vampire there, the unit can march and heal itself. But it is a lot of points to find. With your list, perhaps try to find 25 points for the banshee. Lose some wolves? The rod of flaming death?

Your general looks like a magic user more than a fighter. The helm of commandment would be great on him and will aid those poor WS2 skellies.

I really would like to take the banshee, but I think I would only like to in a unit of 4 so the points are what is killing me. I could probably drop one unit of dire wolves or even both to add a banshee but I don't know if that would be a good option.

If i change around my general by adding the helm, I don't know where I would put him when it came time for combat.

I looked over the list and thought of dropping the Varghulf and adding a Vampire with the Spectral Form...also add a Banshee to total 4 Wraiths (one being a banshee)...Also dropping the dire wolves I think

JUst a thought , but firstly, do you need units of skeletons bigger than 10? It's a risk, but if you found another 15 points your second vampire could have Lord of the Dead, and you could raise lots of skeletons in the first turn. If all goes well... Also, do you need all those banners in the skeleton units? I'd always rather put more models on the table, especially if those models are either vampires or rare choices. You can probably fiddle things so that you can keep the Varghulf and add another vampire and wraith. Cutting your skeletons down is risky, though... But it seems to work for me.
