Just got a question about combat resolution bonus.

If I charge an enemy unit from both the front as well as either the rear or flank, but during hand to hand combat my flanking/rearing unit is wiped out. Does the +1 or +2 still apply considering I charged in the flank or rear that round? Or does it only apply if there are models still fighting there?

Well, for charging it states "If your unit charge this turn" suggesting that doesn't matter whether it survived or not.

For Flank and Rear Attack, however, it says "If your unit IS fighting the enemy in the rear" suggesting that if it is still currently fighting there, you receive the bonus.

Similarly, disruption of ranks in terms of counting up rank bonus is lost if enough men are killed before working it out.

Putting all that together, I'd say that it only applies if there are models still fighting there, but I'm sure this is open to interpretation.

Seems pretty straight edged to me. Gotta have models there to get the bonus.

Even for charge bonus it says if the unit charged this turn. With which I respond "what unit?" if it's dead it basically stops existing as far as the rules are concerned.

I would say that, you'd get +1 for charging if you get wiped out or not. You charged.
Flank bonus, you would need to have a unit in the flank.
