WHFB - 7th Forbidden Lore & Miscast..

I took forbidden lore with my lord and dark acolyte (so lvl 4 and know all spells) and i rolled miscast and rolled up the one where you lose a magic level, making him lvl 3, ok thats fine, but then it goes on to say the spell you lose is the one you just cast.. Heres my question. Would a vamp lord with forbidden lore lose the spell, or is the lost spell in relation to the lost level, in which case, we wouldnt lose the spell because forbidden lore works independantly of the magic level system??

You would lose the spell that you were attempting to cast, so either invoke if you were attempting to cast that at the time, or another spell from the Lore of Vampires that you were attempting to cast. Or if you chose to go with using another lore, such as lore of beasts, you would lose whatever the spell was that you were attempting to cast. Forbidden Lore does not change the impact of the miscast result.

sweet thanks for the quick reply, i was just curious cause the wording seemed like it was referring the loss of a spell to the loss of a level
