Forge world has made werewolves ;D

having just seen the Skin Wolves they scream vampire counts and im so glad that forge world has done them, what is your reaction to these new models?

It'll definitely fill a niche for those who favour werewolves, so I'm all for it in that sense. I don't really like the lupines myself, though. I like robots more. Magical robots.

yep i definitly do favour the furry kind (damm perviness :slapface: ) but ill totally take them for a SoM game or having them counts as a varghulf would be an obvious application

I just saw these over on Beasts of War - they're EXACTLY what I've been looking for and I don't think the price is too bad either. Thank god for Forge World - I'm sure I'll have to find an excuse to use them toads in something as well

The toads are mostly for use when the hex scroll or the SoM "turn everyone to frogs" miscast happens. Notice that one of the toads is sitting on the staff from the SoM chaos sorcerer.

I'll use them but I hate the flesh they have hanging off them.

Hello perfect looking crypt horror models! I hate their fluff and I hate the models but I can't deny that they're good on the field so this will be an awesome excuse to include some crypt horrors! I even think the CH rules fit werewolves quite well! T5, regen and poison!

any way the skin wolves look awesome with some potiential for both VC and skaven(rat ogres) i love the feral poses and the skin hanging off the one in the middle. really a good show of what lycanthropy is all about

You mean the space wolf wolves? I like those models alot, I was talking about the forgeworld warewolves when I said I was kinda dissapointed.

I am so so with the wolves, I like tham but I dislike the flesh clinging to them, straight wolves would of been better than another beast of chaos crap.

Am I the only one thinking of using them as crypt horror alternatives? I love the rules for Crypt horrors but the theme I'm working on is a mix of Gangre/Tzimice influcences.

I have to say, if I decide to field Crypt Horrors I think I'm going to go with them as an alternative. They just look...mean. And I actually prefer the idea of a Vargheist model as an alternative to the Varghulf, so the wolves would give me an extra modelling option.

Great! I think I will use these as Crypt Horrors also, nice idea Fallen Angel. I feel like the GW crypt horrors are like looking at a GW ghoul under a magnifying glass. Seems they could have been a bit more creative with them?

For three quid more than the 'proper' ones, I'm sold.

And that's a terrifying thought, that mainstream prices have risen to the point where Forge World doesn't seem comparatively overpriced any more.
