I was just wondering about a few things regarding this forum setup?

The post-counter don't seem to count all posts posted. This seems like a good idea, since you probably don't want to give a post-count for every useless spam-post like the coundown from X (no offence - I'm participating as well ). But from what posts do the counter actually update itself?

Secondly it seems like the colors of the links is the same as that for regular text. I find this kind of annoying since I'm not really sure that people are recognizing that my plain-text linking is actually a link. Thus I've stopped entirely using plaintext as a link, and is instead only writing the entire web adress. Not sure if that was a question, but more a comment.

The post count only ignore the posts that you post (repetitive much? Heheh) in this off topic section as far as I know.

I've never had a problem with the text used for linking, though I usually Type Like This whenever I want to link somewhere.

Is it just my screen or setup that does it? On my screen the colors, font and size seem to be exactly identical. Perhaps a slight hint of brighter color if I really look closely (0-5% difference at most). It gets underlined when hovering over it, and it is then suddenly revealed to be a link, so if I know that I'm looking for it, then I'll find it. Just seems to me that it is uneccesary subtle that it actually is a link.

You can change the color of text with the following code:

[color=____][/color]

The color you wish your text to be in goes where the underscores are and the link goes in between the color tags. Hoped that helped and for future reference I was thinking of posting a thread which contained all the coding that could be used for such forums as these (I've seen such threads in other forums and they are quite helpful). Perhaps when I get the time.

Oooh. Nice. Didn't know about that color-thing. Just saw a post the other day that did it and started to wonder how he managed that. I guess I'll stick with that approach in the future.

For clarification:

CN News, Master's Room (Intro's) and Off Topic forums do not give post counts.

All other forums give post counts.


The link problem I've been looking into a few days ago. But it's kind of a puzzle at the moment. I'll try to change it in another colour soon.
