Skull is Krells Shoulder pad. had a finecast that was abit iffy and got to keep it. kut the pad apart and trimmed it to size. works really well tbh!

I do like the emphasis on kit-bashing to sculpting. VERY effective. I can't wait to see your interpretation of his jazzy sword (Mortis) and his groovy armour.
I think he's probably better represented as a vampire lord than master necromancer because he was the first vampire, but even better because he's taken the ELIXIR OF LIFE. Which is like mega-blood. And all his equipment is made of warpstone, which is basically a radioactive substance.
Oh, and I like his weird levitating-ness.

i wish i where as good in converting and such. my skill only goes to putting tinghs together sofar except my spine sculping on a LoTR balrog and making a halebard from a tankbarrel and plasticard. makin it a demon prince. lol^^

Only advice I can easely give is, dont be afraid to trash models . I know, expensive and all, but do and learn I say!

I plan on painting him as depicted on the Nagash, the Immortal book. Green aura and awesome coolyness and such. Basing will be hovering over the Spirit host from the Coven Throne.

Regrettably wont be giving you any updates for about a week. will leave for wintersports tonight! but that good, cuz imho a week of just thinking about a conversion really fleshes it out and brings fresh inspiration.

Your other pieces are beautifully done as well. I like the dots/spotting on the Vargheist skin, were you inspired by the 'Eavy Metal paintjobs for that?

Thats correct. Gave it a harsh hightlight first. wasnt happy with it, so went for the spots. works well to break up the model.

Not yet! I've been busy assembling stuff so I can actually play a game or to I've realised that the model, game wise, isnt usable untill post 3000, so he got pushed back abit untill I've atleast assembled 2.4k, which is just a few more skellies and black knights.

Fear nought, Updates will follow shortly. I plan on taking him home so I can spend some time on him, cant really during opening hours . Will upload a pic of the spirit host though! test painted one for my mortis engine to see how the scaling fits with the nagash mini.

That's looking brilliant, Gabriell! How did you do the green on the flames???

Mortis engine is looking pretty swank there pal. If I could suggest a slight wash of green in the recesses of the spirits as I think it'd make it pop. Not much at all, but just a touch. It'll really bring out the features of those guys. Then again, it could just be the lighting. Great work!
