oh man, that Zombie Dragon is great, especially love the rider conversion and the chains

and Nagash is just... unbelievable... i am in aww, and desperately need one!! Which bits did you use for it? Was it a great weapon or a great bow ushabti? And how big is the skull (roughly)? Don't really wanna go buying/hacking up a Krell just for his shoulder pad XD

That's a really exciting use of Lelith. I've often wondered why she hasn't been appearing more in VC armies. Was it hard to convert her to fit the ZD

Rest of the Army is progressing pretty well. problem is im waiting for my magnets (under the bases of core units, so they are on magnetised bases and dont fall over ) so I cant assemble them yet. That's why you see mostly specials rares and characters

Putting the finishing touches on the Mortis and the Vargheist at the moment. if my magnets arent here yet when they are done Im prolly gonna work on nagash some more, or paint my Hexwraiths

MIGHT give you guys a finished Mortis tonight, if I can finish it after fitness

I love your Nagash conversion so far, but I'm not as convinced by your game interpretation. What if the throne is killed, but the vampire isn't? So nagash dies, and his corpse poops out an infantry size vampire lord? What if the vampire is killed? Nagash leaves the swarm behind, sure, but then there's still a couple of non-character vampires riding that thing that don't seem represented in any way.

Caster lord on throne is probably a better representation of Arkhan than Nagash. Iirc the lich was part of Nagash's war on the empire as well. The big guy would probably be better served by just a 40mm base, with some skeletons crawling up out of the ground, and run him as Count Mannfred + unit filler.

I agree with u_m, excellent stuff and a very creative use of Lelith (as a Dark Eldar player I love this!). How do you plan to finish the ghosts on the Mortis Engine? At the moment I think they either need more brighness or more depth.

This mortis engine looks stunning. I like how you've finished the spirit swarm the blue washed metal touch-ups really add the much needed variety to this chaotic looking sculpt Nice shading on everything as well.

Nice colours on the 'Ghiest, and work on Krell's ax; Did you paint his cloak like it's flayed flesh? I haven't seen the model up close from behind, so I dunno if that is what it's modeled as :ghost:

really good job on the zombie dragon, I was thinking of using this model as a female vampire but you took it in a whole different level. Excelent idea, I also really like your vargeist colour sheme. Keep up the good work

I've just finished a unit of 5 Dire Wolves. They are, however, still in the store along with the rest of my minis. I'll try to remember taking a few more pics tomorrow. Maybe a cool shot with all of the models in it?

paint scorch brown -> mix up to Denheb in about 8 steps. and make it gradually lighter towards the top. Was the whole thing with Devlan. Add shadowgrey shading to the eyes and a green dot in the eye. Blood is Dark flesh -> red gore -> blood red. and paint the teeth.
