I sympathise with you, Harland; I once thought that I could catch up on most of the entire, original TVC before the start of the sequel. As soon as I looked at chapter 1, however, I realised that I was sadly - but obviously - mistaken.

Yeah... When I made my character I thought that every other vampire I saw in the lost was a blood dragon... But looking at it now I'm not sure where they all went... There were more I tell you...

I have posted, and Nekhlior shouldn't be too offended, I hope. Looking realistically at things, he'll probably just laugh and make another joke about Nagash.

Nekhlior's too much off a half-insane old man to take too much offense for too long :P

He laughs at just about everything.

BTW PMed you.

Yeah, I revised my original character, which was a Blood Dragon, to be an underrepresented bloodline.. then they sprouted out of the ground.

Maybe I'll rework my Blood Dragon some day. But so far, first need to get a clear on Gurzbag. Something non-vampiric is fun too.

Though you've missed all the excitement, do you want to head off to the meeting now Dark_wolfen? On the subject of the timeframe, I figured we were at least on the same day for sake of sanity (and i think alastor might have seen the light when he was on the hill?) which was why I suggested my horse as she could weave through the forests and get you there.

Bloodline/Race Summary

Worth noting they're all on the first sign-up page.

Rafen
Karl NPC
The Silent Echo
Ferigeld (Maybe)

Lahmia: 7
Carina
Elanor
Nimrais
Naren

Alastor
Sylvie

Necrarch: 2

Jade Blooded: 1
Kenshiro

Carrion Children: 1

Roland
Markus Canaris

Skaven: 1
Nithek

Orc: 1
Gurzbag

Other:1
The Verdant Heart

--------------------------------------------------

Blood Dragons are still pretty up there.
But von Carteins and Lahmians are still top of the list.
But out of the 6 von Carsteins one is non-council and a NPC and two don't have a definite bloodline status.

Oh, I'm sure there is still plenty of excitement to be had. And I intended to join your camp during the end of the night, so that works well. I just figured to rest and join the next day.

But since things are about to start off at the vampire council, I might take you up on that offer.

Now, how to get there after everything has happened, but before Rowhaine arrived.

Well, I guess that since the Blood Dragons were all right after eachother that they seemed so prominent back then.

Yeah... I was third on the second page, so a lot of what I had to see was the people on the first page. And whoo on being the only normal human... If that is really the case... I get the strangest feeling that if most humans would disagree if they could see the events that have unfolded in this castle thus far...

Roland might be, I don't really remember and Markus is hes just a soldier that works for vampires.
Rowhaine and Mort are certainly not normal though

Igor you realize Karl was on the first council too
As where four others in the room :clown:

Yeah, but igor doesn't really like him, so he won't be respectful of him. Also alastor just kind of made fun of him for a while. And note that igor said something about the characters personality. He hates blood dragons, and doesn't like necromancy, so guess who that rules out? Also, it wasn't as much as he enjoyed hanging out with alastor as he would have been near to attacking morturion.

I know this is off topic from the preceding replies and sorry, I'm not trying to insult your character or anything Sweeny but I only just went through and read your characters description (Must have overlooked it). Anyway, he doesn't exactly follow the bloodline very well, first flaw being that he exists. The Jade-Blooded are frail old vampires who don't take in disciples (They only have somewhere between 5 and 7 members of the bloodline), and don't go into the martial sides of things, they have many servants for that. Sorry, again.

Not entirely true, Lost Bloodlines: An Apocryphal Supplement for Night’s Dark Masters states over the millennial the number of the Jade-Blooded has increased.
As for the fighting, he could have been a skilled warrior before he was sired and simply retained many of these traits and if he doesn't deal with the main bloodline then he wouldn't follow their strictures that state to let others do all the fighting for you.

The only massive difference is Kenshiro is healthy where as most of the Jade-Blooded appear to be sickly looking (translucent or green skin, milky eyes etc).

But thats easily ignored, perhaps he found a solution to the problem or is simply an anomaly.

Things that that can be ignored away for creative licence.

I think you didn't actually read my character's personal history. It's true that he's not like most of his bloodline. He was sired by one of, and belongs to an obscure branch of the Jade Blooded, a fringe sect that is very martial.

As for those of Harakhte's line looking sickly, having a greenish tinge to their skin and all that, my impression is that their appearance comes from binging on all kinds of exotic narcotics. Kenshiro generally doesn't do drugs(in fact he doesn't do quite a few things), so he doesn't look like that.

Roland's a skilled, gold loving sellsword (those that survive for a few years have to be skilled to do so!).

Isn't Rowhaine a god? He doesn't seem to be aging, is super powerful and if you've read one of DoN's (rare) posts, Rowhaine gets told by the gods that he's sort of on a godlike level (it's marginally confusing; they basically say he's not human any more).

And Mort's still alive despite what just happened in the Great hall; that's completely abnormal in itself!

Take a look at my stats list a while back, Rowhaine's at the bottom

They have the 900 strictures which forbids the Jade-Blooded to do a lot of things including take sires of any kind, they must have a willing person to drink from, etc. They're like the old, sickly, vampiric puritans.

And yes, I did read his character biography. A peasant whose entire family was slaughtered, taken in by a vampire and put to training. Obviously that's just a brief interpretation but yes, I did read through it all.

Wait someone is worse than Alastor? :scared:

Fairly certian Kavok is... and Rowhaine's stats just aren't really labeled... like most of them were left blank, and to be filled in at a latter date... so for the list all that was added up was the stats that were available... so... yeah...

Na it's apparently a characteristic they go from Harakhte because the eunuch was disgusting in appearance (tones of different things, other than what I said before they even appear to have the wasting sickness of mortals).
They get awfully sickly looking just like Necrarchs get corpsy.

Also fun fact, they're so not used to killing that the oldest ones have to be hand fed humans because they forget how to drink blood...weird but whatever.

Anyway like I said there's no reason why Kenshiro can't just be an anomaly.
As for the strictures, it basically says in the lost bloodlines fluff "Rules are bad to be broken" and so Kenshiro simply chooses not to follow the strictures as did his sire obviously.
Those are choices, they're not programmed into the vampire.

Kraskor: "I call upon the aid of my bloodline!" An army of well-trained blood dragon killing machines appears.

Simon: "I call upon the aid of my bloodline!" A group of talented masterminds creeps into view.

Kenshiro: "I call upon the aid of my bloodline!" 10 raggedy old green guys turn up going, "Are we going to fight? How do we drink blood? I've forgotten what these big teeth are for...can we go home now?"

This. If it matters, my eponymous main character in TVC1 was a civilized Strigoi barber. Just the lack of corpse drinking or outward deformity would mean that he breaks the stereotype, let alone being 'normal'.

Wait a minute, Old Spice could be a kind of drug right? And the Jade Blooded love to do drugs...Who needs fangs when you've got POOOOOOOWER?
