Kavok I may have an idea for you and the Lady of the Lake, I'll think on it and PM you the details.

If you've got ideas for it I'd be glad to hear them. I'm honestly kind of stumped regarding what I'm going to have Kavok befall him. Though I have noticed I've been rather mean to this character... Not really sure why, though compaired to the vampires of the group it is probably natural for someone trying to fight as their equals (somewhat...).

Malekith would have been a great phoenix king. The sundering was entirely the high elf nobles fault for denying him his birthright.

It wasn't his birthright! There hadn't been a Phoenix King before, thus there was no precedent for him to say it was his by right!

Malekith would have been a terrible king. He would have been a half puppet of morthai, half average king. He also wasn't the best general, as caledor beat him down in the sundering, both fighting and strategically.

Malekith would have been a decent king. People tend to forget how effectively he ruled the eleven colony's and that it was he who in the end forged the elf-dwarf alliance. Amusing irony that it was also he who broke it down to start the charming war. Ahh, he also was quite resistant to Morathi's influence up until the end. Hell, he even resisted a call of a certain god killing sword x)

However, cant deny that the events after his fall and the raise of the Druchii shaped him into something fantastic! He is a fairly powerful sorcerer, swordsman, manipulator and everything backed up by experience he has gained over a very long time.

Exactly! No Phoenix King could ever match the length of his reign... he's ruled over the Druchii for as long as there have been Druchii. In possibly the most inhospitable land in the entire world; monsters (the basic wildlife can usually kill a man outright), harsh weather and landscape, poor resources, and not to mention the Chaos Wastes on their doorstep. And yet the Druchii have thrived, when the High Elves can't even prosper on the perfect island, away from all of that, with resources aplenty.

So what was that about him being a poor leader? :tongue:

Judging from how he ruled the colonies, I would think that Malekith may have made a good ruler. In fact, had he not been spurned in the first place there is a very good chance he would have rules for a golden age, as the resentment he nurtured may never had grown / been manipulated by Morathi.

While we're on the topic of Malekith I found his motivation to become king by whatever means necessary to be far too poorly fleshed out. For most of the book he doesn't even really want to be king until all of a sudden, as though someone pressed the deus ex machina button, Malekith decides to up and assassinate Bel-Shanaar.

It's subtle. I mean he really got:mad2: when the Phoenix king chose to come to the colonys and insult him ( in a subtle way ) quite badly. After that it all went to hell x)

Everytime I hear the word "law", I go "LAAAWWWWWW" in my head.
The stupid part is, I'm in lawschool.. I hear it constantly. :slapface:

And Alastor, Nimrais is still pretty much barely conscious in Kavoks' arms since halfway through the Skaven battle.
