[Disciple of Nagash]

We have had a lot of excellent entries in this competition, of which I am very pleased!

Here we have the voting thread where you can vote your favourite (one only!), and also put up any comments. You cannot vote for yourself!

So without further ado I present the contestants.

[The Dark Sheep]

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

So it was only a command group for the regiments? Well sorry about that. I can take some new pics of them alone if you like.

And I vote for Illusionarypresence. Great conversion and nicely painted (don't like the banner top, though).

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

I voted for Hardt von Carstein because he made the model just pop , compaired to every other vrsion of this model. great work on her =).

i woudl have voted for Illusionarypresence because its a great conversioon and paint job but because the barding on the mount is going to the left and the banner is going to the right it just looks out of place but like i said great conversion work never noticed the skeletal horse under the barding till i saw it today.

[Dead Knight]

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

All of the entries were great and good, though i voted for the Countess, the colours have been worked really well and compliment each other.

Sorry Seth - as per the first post you can't vote for yourself, so unfortunately you're vote has been lost.

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

Hmmm I had 2 votes earlier and now I only have 1

This would not bother me since I accidentally clicked my own while trying to select dark sheep.

but the extra vote did not go his way

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

If that's how you meant to vote I'll go and put it on Dark Sheeps.

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

Wow, there are some really nice models in here!! In the end, I had to go with Josef and the Wight King BSB. The skeleton looks a bit rigid being totally upright, but the details are fantastic. Where did you get the horse and banner? I love the banner top and the details.

IllusionaryPresence I think takes a close second, but without looking at the steed it's hard to tell undead. I hoped for a bit of bone, or something more on the knight. The paint job though, and detail on the banner are absolutely amazing.

RE: Golden Bat Painting Compeition - Voting Thread

the mount and banner are from the empire general box

[Josef]

how long is the voteing going for?

[Master Vampire]

Don't know how long it's up.

I really like the Leader of the Carnival, so my vote goes to there. Looks like a conversion, not sure but seriously original looking.

Second comes in the Wraiths and Banshee - nice purple.

Third Illusionary's über paint style. Hard to work with yellow I guess.

[Trevy the Great]

I also really like Illusionarypresence' work, the gritty realism of the models is great and that yellow looks perfect.

[Disciple of Nagash]

The vote is going on for two weeks.

[Arion]

I voted for Josephs, I like the colour choice, the painting, the attention to detail, the model, the base, the pose. Pretty much everything about it!

[Hardt von Carstein]

I'm sorry but I didn't read the first post before voting I was to eager to win hehe. Please change my vote for Josef's Wight king BSB or take this post into consideration.

[TMS]

I placed my vote for Devo's "Leader of the Carnival", though it was an immensely tight race between him and the two wight king BSBs, heheh.

Thanks for letting me know Hardt - I have amended the poll. Although the correct number of votes are showing there is no way to swap over the names.

[Wolf Fang]

I voted IllusionaryPresence. Nice conversion coupled with a brilliantly painted (yellow) mini. => Win.µ

Devo, Hardt, Josef and Seth had me doubting though.

Cheers, Wolfie

[Bishop]

I voted for Josef... the lack of proper basing almost killed it for me. Great conversion work tough.

Also really liked:
Illusionarypresence - Wight King BSB
Hardt von Carstein - Julie von Carstein

[adrift]

I went for IllusionaryPresence, although there are about 3 or 4 for which I could have just as easily voted.

[darknesseternal]

Took my time to think about this one, and in the end I went with my Har(d)t

I've seen that Vampire Countess model painted even better before (some amazing ones on CMON), but never quite like this one. Just the great choice of colours are so interesting and makes the mini so vibrant and gives it a real punch. And it's refreshing to see a Vampire character painted in a way where it is not dulled and dirty earthy colours.

I love the use of the purple as well, makes her look like a feral and demented Lily Munster

Last day for voting!!

The Poll ends at midnight GMT today so anyone who hasn't voted - do so now.
