Welcome to the forum and to VC. The best thing to do next is grab a vampire or necromancer of your choice and a friend and get started playing some small games to get aquainted with the rules. There are quite a few things you have to get used to with VC but without them we would not be Unique.

The forum itself has a very informative section concerning general tactics.
