Gridded Swamp D+D map

Here is a map i am almost completed...I present my take on a swamp map...all polystyrene construction (pink styrofoam) and the water is Envirotech light (pour on laquer). Sand, static grass, fine turf and crushed rock are a few other components used in this map. The various dead bodies are hacked up mage knight figures. These pics are all details from the first section of the map i have completed (20"X24")

Got to say if nothing else the water effects of the swamp itself has made it look a very pretty board to play on even if mordheim would be the largest scale I could fit on a board of that size.
Ever think darkening it down and making ti look more dank and dirty would add more the the swamp feel?... Its coming off a little on the lake'ish side atm.

This project was designed for smaller scale D+D skirmish battles, and is a project i completed almost a decade ago. My painting from that time was only midgrade, and it was my first series of projects involving resins.(this is before i started to tint resin with ink)
