I've been using them on my zombies. Lots of fun! No tips for use though, I'm playing around with them and don't paint overly frequently

I love them. I have used the green for spirit hosts, which is great, and for rust effect on armor.
For ethereals, Ill offer this tip: if you undercoat them in white, they will be very bright. I basecoated white, then drybrush bone, then glaze(two coats if necessary), then dry brush bone, then drybrush white. Seems like many steps, but after my first SH, I wad a tad bit dissappointentes in the brightness.

I haven't tried the glazes they've made but the Citadel Technical: Lahmian Medium I have used and i love it.. It's hard to explain but it runs smoother on the surface and sticks better to the brush than pure water, I tried the same glaze with water first and it just pooled way to fast if it came near a crevice even with almost nothing on the brush, when i switched to the medium it worked alot better... If it's worth the pricetag I will leave up to you but I personally like what you can do with it :)

I don't have any experience with the glazes but if you aren't happy with the results of the GW glaze I would suggest Vallejo glaze medium. I've used it for awhile now and I am pleased with the results, you can use it with any paint to create a specific shade or hew. Plus it's versatile enough to be diluted and applied to the whole model for a filter effect or used straight

Is the medium used to make glazes out of regular colors/inks? I guess i'm not familiar with it. Thanks for the input so far. Looks like a lot of us have yet to use the glazes.

Pretty much. the medium is a paint thinner that provides a much better glaze than if you had used water (which would end up inconsistent and patchy)

The paint medium is the actual stuff that goes into the paints, the acrylic medium. Most people assume that the paint uses purely water as a medium, but while water is very close to the medium, they are not the same stuff.

Hence the reason why it works that little bit better :D

Im currently experimenting with a Tamia Color X-19 smoke.

It's a clear glaze with black tint that I am currently getting ready to applying to my flaming Hexwraiths that are done in a ghost rider theme.

I hope to post pics soon.

I used guillaman blue over administratum grey undercoat, then before it dried completely I did a green glaze(the old citadel glaze) over this, for my ethreal look, then drybrushed grey to white over this.
on a banshee i did it the otherway around with green glaze first then blue over this. my only experience between glaze and wash is glaze 'shines' more, there was more 'light' on the version with glaze last.
finishing with wash dulled it a bit, other than that i saw no difference between wwash and glaze.
result on banshee pumpkin is seen bottom here

on my mortis engine, you can see result in my plog, link in sig

I use Liquitex Matte Medium. It was maybe 13$ for a gigantic amount (for modelling purposes) and it works lovely. Also, while I haven't tried it I just saw they also sell a glazing medium. Most arts/crafts places sell liquitex. One word of advice however is after adding the matte medium the mix does need to be thinned a bit.
