Ouch... He went from grotesque evil looking.. to a cute creature... :P
The face gotta be changed, via colours, into that evil menacing face again... the eyes look like puppy eyes :( Give them some red center or some such ;)

That was the only thing i was unhappy with...the eyes....

I was hoping them to look beady, like an animals...but it didnt work ¬_¬

Any ideas of how i should paint them to look menacing again????

Very nice work man, very nice indeed. A real monster! Nothin much else to say. Great stuff.

...and what is it about people and adding batwings? A Strigoi can change into a bat, it isnt a bat. Well some can be. I´ve never represented batwings on my flying buggers.

cheers

So most people sort of like the eyes? ...Any more suggestions?

And i think ill leave the wings...i agree with danceman!, i think adding wings would hinder the streamline hunter image i have tried to get across :S

I think i might have to do something about this idea being stolen so quickly...

Monsieur Fluffy - Why do you want a picture of the pirate? Its one of my first converted models so is a bit shoddy...

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates, i need to get some new batteries for my cam ¬_¬

Well after a long discussion with myself, i decided to give the big guy (who i have named Vorag the Blind, the fluff is that he uses ecolocation to 'see' after a too close encounter with sunlight..when i get the inspiration ill write up some fluff) some wings. I have basically done them almost 'grafted' onto his forearms, because i though if i added another set of limbs it would look to cluttered. Plus i thought i would make it easier for my opponents by using WYSIWYG. I shall but on some un-painted pics, so you can see if he has improved or not..

And when i re-paint, i am going to paint the eyes a bloodshot milky white colour, to show his lack of sight, i have never been happy with those black ones...

P.S Arion - You will have to post up some pics of your latest work..i would like to see it!

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates, it has been a real struggle trying to get painting work done 'bloody GCSEs ¬_¬...'

Anywhoo, i have got most of the skin painted, i dont have much homework this weekend so i will try and get as much done as possible!

BTW, what sized base is he supposed to be on?

- Warplock

You could just put him on any base really, as long as you can put a lot of detail on it, because it has some very tasty advantages, such as being in base contact with more models, so more blood to spill. I modelled my Luthor Harkon on a monster base, not only for the extra base contact, but to fit in properly with my zombie ogres.

Heres an example of getting the most out of bigger bases: Take a chaos lord level model, give him the berzerker sword and something like a ward save to give him some kind of protection. Stick him on a mount, so your opponent won't be complaining that you just gave him a really big base, I would use the new HE plastic dragon, model it turning so much that the whole model is looking from the longest side of the base (which is 90 deg from the one shown on the box, so just have the head turning and the wings in a different position. With a berzerker sword, he'll cause a lot of destruction, espesially on the flank.

Bigger Bases are well worth it!!!! Because Its LEGAL!!!! Mhu hu ha ha ha!

I'm convinced that I have seen a list somewhere on base sizes for minis, and that would put this on a 20x20 base.

I would say, in your example of the chaos lord, that the long side would be the flank.
