I was tinkering around with the army today and thought about having an army that was fast and hit hard. So this is what I came up with. Would a list like this even work?, would it be remotely competitive?

Are there armies you think I might have some serious trouble with?

The list is at a 2000 point level.

I think the tatics are pretty straight forward. Lord goes with ghouls to keep them moving and growing strong. Bats and dogs take the flanks and look for warmachines. The Vampires go with the Knights and hit the Flanks and hopefully all meet in the middle. :D

I know my Black Knights lose their movement abilities but I am hoping to have them on the enemy so fast it really wont matter too much.
Originally I wanted to have a Wight King in Each unit but I would be short in the Magic Department if I went that route, with only the Lord as my caster.

Let me know what you think...

Thanks

P.S. I found some errors in the list myself, but have since updated it.

RE: Would this even be viable?

Skull staff and bloody hauberk cost 110 points... so unfortunately you have to get rid of one of them as the max on a lord's magic items are 100.

I have updated the list to correct the error I made in the Lords Magic Gear, thanks again Chris for pointing that one out.

Anyone have any thoughts on this list, other then the obvious that I lose my Etheral Movement. I know I'm giving up a lot but the Black Knights should be alright considering there is a Vampire in each unit to heal any loses.

Is 5 enough for your black knights? I was considering if you had one of your vamps with the scout ability and try to raise a few units of zombies. Just causing mayhem.

Then making the 2 Black knight units a bit bigger and more powerful on the charge. It would look like you could be hitting on the second turn with almost everything, if you wanted to. I am not sure which unit of Black knights I would take away maybe someone else has thoughts on that.

Banner of barrows on the black knights is half wasted since the steeds don't get any benefit. Use the hatred banner, everyone gets rerolls and it's 10 pts cheaper

I was thinking the same thing Reincus, the only reason I didnt use it is because with Hatred they would have to pursue and I'm a little worried about that. I suppose I could give it a go. Any suggestions on where to spend those other 10 points? Just add another Ghoul?

Because each black knight is valuable, it might be worth swapping one of your dispel scrolls and turn a vamp into a BSB. It will reduce your crumbling by one for all units in range, which is crucial when you only have 5-10 models in most of your units.

With the 10 points from the banner and 6 points you have left unused, you can add 2 more ghouls or a magic weapon on one of your vamps.

From recent experience I've come to love the Black Knights theres no hiding from them, looks a good list you have there.

What are your thoughts are on dropping a vampire for a Wight King? He could lead the unit with the Banner of the Barrows, give him the Sword of Kings and he truly rocks! My regular opponant has said that he now fears the Wight King more than the vamps due to his ability to kill characters quite easily.
