Hello to all. I haven't joined a VC forum before. I have had my collection of VC since 2001, and haven't actually played them more than once or twice. I have just started painting them. My collection consists of 70 zombies, 25 metal Grave Guard, 20 metal Ghouls, 20 new Skeletons, 10 new Dire Wolves, 10 Black Knights, a Corpse Cart, the Black Coach, Zacharias on Zombie Dragon, Heinrich Kemmler as a Necromancer, and then a fine selection of Vampires from various editions to round out my collection.

Obviously I have a TON of models to paint. I have them all based using cobblestone, and they will have a city-theme to them. I have built a walled tower and graveyard as a terrain piece, and two dead trees stands. More terrain to come.

My other Fantasy armies are Chaos Dwarfs (2500pts, fully painted), and Orcs and Goblins (7500pts, only 2500pts painted).

I also play 40k (Orks and Ultramarines) and some LOTR (Angmar).

I will have to start a painting diary....

Cheers,

Vlad the Impaler

That is a shedload of models....And I love your cavalier attitude.

ONLY?! That's a crap ton of models. I don't have that many points painted out of the three games I play. Then again, Mk II Warmachine has an incredibly low point system.

Welcome to the forum!

Actually, I missed: 4 Wraiths and a Banshee, plus I miscounted my poor zombie horde. I have 40 zombies built, and another 80 on sprues! Yikes. I have a zombie infestation.

To Onikaigo - get painting! It takes time, trust me. My Night Goblins took me about 2 years to finish, but what a feeling when that many models are on the table and done!

I'm having Artists' Block currently. I've even posted a Blog to that effect, and I'm trying to whip myself into getting progress made. I can't even say it's about finding time to paint, I have more than enough! I just haven't found the inspiration, until recently.

heck, I've got 3 K Vampires to paint, 2 K Ogres, 2 K Ork Boyz, and quite a bit of Warmachine Cryx. And I just ordered more, plus magnets so I can magnetize the bases.

And two years? Wow. That means that by the time I PCS to my next station I should be done. :D

The trick is to reduce, not add, when you are overwhelmed!

In the past 3 months, I have sold off 4000+ pts of Daemons (Nurgle and Slaanesh), 2000pts of Chaos Space Marines, 2000+pts of Chaos Renegades (the Forgeworld ones, including FW tanks), Goblin Wolf Riders, a Best-Painted tournament High Elf army, all but one of the LOTR armies I have (still on ebay right now), and any other game systems - GHQ, Paranoia!, Reaper Minis/Warlord, DBA historicals (I had around 20 armies), and now I can relax and just paint the stuff I have left. It's like having a massive weight taken off. Honestly!

Welcome Vlad. Glad to see another Canuck on the forum! Hope to see some pictures of your excellent painting skills. I am also supremely jealous you have two great hockey teams nearby. :)

Cheers,
Grish

I don't -Want- to sell, though. I enjoy having my collection. I like being able to look over and see my Toys, and say, "Hrm. Saturday sounds like a gaming day." And then go over to my gaming group and spend a day relaxing, blowing off steam, and beating the living tar out of plastic figurines.

So, selling isn't an option. At least not in the foreseeable future. :D
