They really do look better. I think their facial (skullial) expression really adds to the feel of ancient evil spirits.

Could you perhaps write up a quick little guide on how you got your cotton mist to look like it does? I'm gonna be adding it to my own models whenever I get back to them but am not really sure on how to go about it.

Thank's guys. I found the old Heroquest box when I cleared out the attic in the house I grew up in. It's been up there for years and many models were missing but I've also painted up the Sorcerer.

@Masterspark: The cotton is very easy. Step1 Steal cotton balls from wife when she is busy watching soaps. Step2 Glue cotton to base

It might help that I use flourescent strips on the base, it gives it a little dramatic light.

I guess I just need to decide whether I want it to be thick and foggy or thin and misty, heheh.

how did you do the cloaks, are they green stuff or fabric stiffened with glue ?

When applying the cotton I think less is absolutely more, also cotton pads seem to work a little better than cotton balls (now I just have to convince the wife ). The cloaks are greenstuff, it's about the only thing I can do with the stuff and is pretty easy.

Heres a picture of the finished sorcerer, since I run a undead marauder tribe theme I think he works perfect as a necromancer or even a casty vamp. (base not finished of course)

Buuuut, in all seriousness. Good model, I like the Helmet in particular. Even in a unit that guy would stand out because of that crazy hat. What model is this?

This is the Sorcerer model from the Hero Quest game. They also have some funny zombies, but they are a bit ugly.

I think the Wraiths came out pretty well. The helmet makes him look a bit chaosy, though. Despite the skull head.

got them to, along with the zombie versions.
i thought they worked quite good as fillers.
