As the title says. I bought 10 Revenant Knights from Mantic and want to turn them into hexxies. They're a bit smaller scale than GW's (I included a BK for comparison). Figured I'd raise them up a bit on the base.

I have a color scheme in mind (Ghostly green, like my ME), but what about weps? Should it be chains and scythes and the like? And do you have any other input that could be useful to make them more hexxie like? And can I use Superglue to glue plastic and resin together?

Edit: I have quite a few bits from all kinds of stuff.

I would focus on themes associated to grim reapers and ghostly horsemen. Flowing robes, chains, scythes etc.

I was wondering how u managed to glue yourself to a hexxie with plastic glue....turns out it wasnt generic plastic hexxiesxD
also...im a bit dissapointed this thread didnt contain you stuck to a hexxie as i hoped the title implied;)
Haha, sorry to disappoint :D Those models really should have the vampiric rule, considering how much blood they sucked out of my thumb :suck::redface:

Since the unit is armed with great weapon, I'd try to ditch the shield and give them suitable weapons. No need to be scythe though, any great weapon would do. Maybe the Grave Guards GW would look nice and menacing on those guys?

Good points.

Firstly, yes, superglue will hold plastic and resin together.

Secondly, I like the sound of the colour scheme - basically I think whatever other ethereals you have, go with that. so that they match and tie into the rest of the army.

Finally, for weapons the empire flagellant kit has some nice flails, if you have some available (the bodies make nice spirit hosts, or even banshees). Otherwise the grave guard great weapons are worth a go. One thing to watch out for is the 'heroic' scale of GW - I don't think mantic are, so GW hands will be noticeably larger.

All the best

Maybe lift the horses off the base a bit to get the height relative to the new models better and fill the gap with cotton wool for that ethereal smoky effect and to hide the wires they're held up on.

Tattered robes and cloaks, as many of them as you can make. Roll greanstuff wafer thin, distress with knife, add to hexwraith in suitably dramatic billowing shape, tug and shape it a little, rinse and repeat. I would suggest swapping the head for a bare skull too, maybe a flaming skull if you have any from the empire wizard kit spare or can GS them.
